A little Bit of this and a little Bit of that
And a little bit of Rock’n Roll
Yep – I’m in a good mood- I mean it is summer …so how could I not
Even with lot’s of work and projects Summer seems for me the time to refuel and get a lot of inspiration for the next few months. All the sunny days and even nights outside, the parties and time with family and friends, the things you see traveling, bicycling or just doing something outside…it is the way to refuel before the days get shorter and and the time in the studio finally gets longer
And don’t get me wrong…looking forward to those days too.
BUT….still managed to create some things with the always inspiring products by Tattered Angels
– it’s doesn’t matter what time of the year it is – a little bit of this and a little bit of that…and there you have it…Rockn’ Roll – LOL
Fairy Land Tag

I love the Tailored Tags – so many possiblities to use them for fun projects, like book marks, gift tags, pages for mini albums – or just for a fun tag as I did here, using different Glimmer Mist Colors.

Another Project I did was this Punky Sprouts Album using lot’s of Tattered Angel’s Products like Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, Glimmer Chalkboard, Glimmer Glass , Clear Stamps, Glimmer Glaze,Glimmer Screens, Glimmer Chips etc. Combined with the wonderful Graphic 45 Papers it came out as a nice Beach Album …ehem …Down the Shore Album- for my NJ Sis in Law

For the clear pages I used some of the Beachthemed Tattered Chiptiles and Glimmer Glass and sprinkled some Glimmer Glam right onto the pages.

The Canvas pages were created this way: I sprayed the Canvas with a solid color that I wanted to look through the later used screens. Then I placed the Glimmer Screens onto the Canvas pages and then sprayed with different Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Chalkboard Colors – kind of working them together. Before lifting up the Screens I tapped the excess liquid off with a paper towel. Some of the images that I used the screens with are also later on stamped over to highlight the image even more.

oh yummie Glimmer Glam!!!

I really had an aweful lot of fun to create this album!
Wanna see more- LOL – I have more- here is an altered Shadow Frame I made for our upcoming anniversary and I used the beautiful beautiful new Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Fall Colors!!!! I love them soooo much!

And here is how the shadow frame looked after I had my Glimmer Hands on it

Here are the Supplies I used:
Tattered Angels: Glimmer Mist Fall 2010 Colors, Glimmer Glam Chandelier, Glimmer Screens, Tattered Trinket, Rockn’ Renaissance Costum Cut Outs, Tattered Traveler Clear Compact, Framed Fonts; SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™ Foam Pads and Crafty Power Tape, Clear Gesso, Pepples, Prism white Cardstock
If you want to know how I did this- you can see the tutorial video on the Tattered Angels Educator blog.
But wait….there is more…LOL – one more…ok? What about a layout to close this post?
*The Many Faces of Israel*

It remains my favorite to create my own backgrounds with teh wonderful Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and with those cool Tattered Textures Stamps – not to forget the fun Framed Fonts that makes awesome frames for the pocket pictures I used.
So I hope those projects and layouts showed you how versatile the Tattered Angels Products are!
Wishing you a gorgeous and happy crafty day!!!!

Mandy’s July Creations
Happy CHA everyone!
Mandy popping in from Australia to say Hello and share a couple of my newest creations.
Starting off with a card full of sunshine and smiles, misted with pretty Lemon Zest, Crushed Shells and SWAK and accented with a little Tuttu Pink Glam, a bright and cheerful combination.
Love layering mist colors across each other to see how they blend.
Lots of folks altered clocks a while back and that was fun but recently I saw a personalized clock in a fancy boutique with a very fancy price tag to match, thought hmmm, I have seen that lighthouse and very similar sandcastle and quickly ran home to whip one up.
Glimmer chips are perfect for altered clocks, they are slim enough to fit but with the addition of some bright colors can really make a statement. The only clock I could find had a black plastic frame that really did not look beachy enough. The frame got a rustic make over with a little plain acrylic paint and just before the paint set, misted spots with denim blue and dragged it though for a weathered look.
Altered books are a favorite of mine and a good excuse to play with new color combinations from the summer range starting with water slide and hula hoop on the background.
The tailored tag was misted with crushed shells and tutti fruitti with a touch of tutu pink glaze on the mistable die cut and finished with squirt of old lace.
Experimented with stamping using a dragon fly mist mat and hay ride glam to create a raised shadow that I stamped into. I added more textures using the hula hoop mist to color up texture paste streaked onto the bottom of the page with a little fan brush for grass.
Sharing new creations with you makes my day, feel free to ask questions or for more details.

Love is in the air
Hi everyone! So yesterday I told people it was June. I’m a little behind. :) It took me all day to realize that it was actually July! Time flies…seriously! My June was full of weddings. I made this layout of my Sister-in-law and her groom:

I used a bunch of Tattered Angels yumminess on this layout, including Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Screens, Calling Cards, and Stamps. Here are some close up’s:

It’s hard to see in the photo but I sprayed Pearl Glimmer Mist on the white flowers to give them a bit of shine.

I place some stamps in the background to help with the clustering.
And then here is a project I made for my sister, who just got married in Jamaica…

I used Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Screens, Glimmer Glass, Glimmer Chips, and Calling Cards. :) Here’s a close up:

I thought I would show you the edge too, because I took one of my favorite colors of Glimmer Mist (Frozen Lake) and just sprayed the edges of the canvas with it.

And finally here is one more canvas project. I was working on a project the other day and my first attempt did not work out as I wanted it to. So I started a new project and set this one aside. Then I came back to my “messed up” canvas and used it anyways! Art is all about the imperfections anyways! :) Here it is:

I used Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glaze, Glimmer Chips, Ir-resist-ible Chips, Glimmer Glass, and Framed Fonts. I used the cowboy Glimmer Glaze all around the edge and on the letters. I just brushed it on after I did everything else. I used the Mellow Yellow on the inside parts of the Glimmer Chip butterfly. Here are some close up’s:

Well I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I hope you have a fabulous day!!!!

Tattered Tags
Hi Everyone! This month I decided to dig in and play with the Tattered Tags and the Rockin’ Royalty Custom Cutouts. I just love them!
My first project is a card using part of a Custom Cutout. I added a frame that was sprayed with Candlelight and wings from the Va Va Victorian Irresistible Chips collection which I sprayed with Vintage Pink.

I added a flower, some vintage buttons and the sentiment which was stamped with a stamp from the Timeless Romance collection.

My next card uses a piece of a tag from the Tattered Tags collection. I wanted to spray it red, but didn’t want it to be too vibrant. So, I poured some Peppermint Stick Glimmer Mist into a cup with some water and painted the tag with a foam brush. I added a corner piece from the Regal G;immer Chip co;;ection and a frame and die cut. I used Pumpkin Pie and Sunflower on them.

My final project is a little wall hanging that I made. I used a chip tile as the base and added a piece of a Tattered Tag along the bottom. I added lots of Stickles to it for color and shine. I used the gold foil oval Custom Cutout behind our photo. (The tag is so pretty, but hard to photograph!) Regal glimmer glass and a Family Calling card are other details on here.

So that’s it for today. If you haven’t tried the Custom Cutouts and Tattered Tags, I definitley think you should.
Thanks for stopping by!~ Anabelle
Growing Some Glimmer
For the first time we planted a garden this year. We just kept it simple. Some tomatoes, zucchini, onions and some corn. I am relishing in finding things that remind me of my garden. When I saw Crafty Secrets Garden Creative Scraps and Webster’s Pages Sweet as Cherry Pie, they reminded me of my time in the garden.
I transformed this tin bucket with a little help from Tattered Angels, Crafty Secrets and Webster’s Pages. I spritzed the blue gingham Pattern Paper all over with Patina Glimmer Mist to give a beautiful sheen.
I then used the Regal Classic Accents Stamp to stamp the swirl image and then heat emboss. Distress the embossing more as I scratched some of it off to give a worn look to it. I then spritzed the postcard from the Travel Bingo Boards and Calling Cards with Olive Vine and used the Garden Blossom Stencil and spritzed it with Coffee Shop. For each of the precious Crafty Secrets images I brayered the Iridescent Gold over them and then added more glitter to highlight the images. For the Glimmer Chip I layered Sunshine, Coffee Shop and topped it off with Sunshine Glimmer Mist again.

For my Grow Journal, I spritzed Webster’s Pages Pattern Paper with Sunshine and then used the Garden Blossom Stencils to mask and stamp with Olive Vine. I then used the Olive Vine Glimmer Mist and Garden Blossom Stencils to add interest to the burlap for the spine of the journal. I again used the Garden Blossom Stencil and Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to add deminision to the front of the journal. I added an all over Glimmer to the Gingham and Cherry Pattern Paper with Patina and painted on some Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist to the Cherries. For the butterfly Glimmer Chip, I layered Sunshine, Patina and Candy Apple Red and added more glitter to really make it stand out. For the Grow I combined Olive Vine and Sunshine Glimmer Mist.
I spritzed the manila tag with Sunshine and Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist to give it an old grungy sort of feel. I added Iridescent Gold to the images and then topped them with more glitter to make the flowers pop. Everyone loves glitter don’t they? For the precious little Glimmer Glass bird I combined a red glitter and a iridescent glitter. For the sweet Postage Stamp Frame Fonts I layered Sunshine, Coffee Shop and more Sunshine.
Wishing you a creative day.

Sue’s July Projects
Hi from Singapore! I’m back to share some of my latest Tattered Angels projects.
Here’s the first one:

I created my own background design for this layout by misting some white cardstock. I laid out two butterfly glimmer screens over the white cardstock, then picking up the colours from the patterned paper, I misted the cardstock in shades of brown, orange and pink. The mists I used were Tattered Leather, Tutti Frutti, Peach Delight and Flower Power.
Here’s what the misted cardstock looked like:

And the completed layout:

As always, lots of inking, distressing, handcut details and layers on my layout.
And my favourite turn-to Tattered Angels embellishment – a chipboard butterfly from the Framed Font collection. lightly misted in Tattered Rose and inked in orange.

Next up, a layout using lots of Tattered Angels embellishments.

I used the Va Va Victorian Irresistable Chips on the layout. I really like that they’re resist-embossed so all you need to do is to mist directly onto the chip and the embossed areas will resist the mist, creating perfectly misted details every time.
Here’s a close-up:

I misted the Victorian chip rose with Apple Candy Red and the leaves with my favourite Olive Vine. I laid the the chip over Regal Glimmer Glass in cocoa. The alpha chipboards are from the Regal Framed Font collection. I liked how the original cream of the alpha chips looked against my layout and decided to keep the shade, but added some glimmer by misting it with Dazzling Diamonds.
I used more Victorian chip leaves and Glimmer Glass here. I like how the chip leaves work so well with the Prima flowers.

I layered lots of lace, trims and Websters Pages bloomers on this layout, which has portions of the cut out patterned paper raised up for a 3D finish. Some pearl flourishes complete the layout.

Finally, I have a card for you:

A romantic pastel card using stamps from the Timeless Romance collection, and a Regal Framed Font chip which I misted in Tattered Rose to complement the patterned paper.
I hope you liked my projects this month. I know I had lots of fun creating them. Check back here for more inspiration from the rest of the Tattered Angels Design Team all July.
Happy Scrapping!

More Tattered Paislee
Hi Everyone. As you know, we’ve been showcasing projects made with Pink Paislee and Tattered Angels projects together this month. I recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Hawaii. These first two layouts use pictures from there.
This page highlights the amazing view we had from our balcony. I wanted to give it a real tropical feel, so I used glimmer chips and glimmer glass from the Seaside collection.

I started off by using the palm tree glimmer screen and misting it with Patina to create the background.

Next, I sprayed the glimmer chips with Lemon Merangue. I layered everything together using some papers from Pink Paislee’s Bayberry Cottage line. I sprayed a couple of the artisan elements, too. Toen one on top of the word ‘our’ was sprtized with Lime Twist and the other with Lemon Merangue.

I finished everything off with some tropical looking Prima flowers and some Pink Paislee chipboard letters.
The reason we ended up in Hawaii this year is because it was our tenth anniversary in February. This page showcases one of my favorite photos of my hubby and me. It was taken on the Big Island by my 7 year old! I started off with glimmer screens from the Regal line and stamped them with Olive Vine onto papers from Pink Paislee’s 365 Degrees line.

To create the cluster where the title is, I used some cut out paper, butterfly and tattered traveler framed fonts chipboard (sprayed Patina and Sunflower) and a Prima flower. I tucked in a Rockin’ Renaissance die cut sprayed with Olive Vine and cut the words from a Timeless Romance calling card.

On my last project, I used some glimmer glass from the Seaside colleciton. This time, I wanted to show how it doesn’t always have to be used for summer or beach themed projects.

I backed hte images iwth paper from the 365 Degrees line and added some Butterfly Framed Font chipboard that had been sprayed with Peppermint Stick. The stars are Heidi’s Rockin’ Royalty Glimmer chips.

I really like how this card ends up feeling masculine and summery all at the same time.
Well, that’s it from me this month. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! ~Anabelle
Summer Lovin’
Hello everyone! My projects today definitely remind me of summer with the dragonfly, flowers, butterfly and the fresh pastel colors of the Glimmer Mists that I used. Put them all together with some pretty Pink Paislee products and summer is in the air.
First up is a 12×12 layout that I created with the Pink Paislee 365 Degrees papers.
How I love red and pale blue colors together! I misted the Tattered Angels Chipboard flourish piece with “Sea Glass” Glimmer Mist. The alphabets from the “Framed Font’s” were misted with “Coffee Shop” mist.
The “Key Lime” misted design was cut from a die cut paper and then I misted the back side of the paper which was white. The paper flower’s center was misted with “Lemon Zest” Glimmer Mist and the center of the round chipboard piece was stamped with an image from the “Tattered Traveler” Clear Stamp set.
Next I created a “Dream” sign… because summer should be full of dreaming.

Again, I used paper from the “365 Degrees” collection. The alphas were misted with “Sea Glass” Glimmer Mist. The base of the sign was misted with Suede, Sunflower, and Flower Power– just to give the paper an bit of an aged look. The leaves on the flower were misted with “Key Lime” then stamped with a portion of one of the Tattered Traveler Cleear Stamps. The flower which was originally white was misted with “Sea Glass” around the outside edges of the petals then the center was misted with “Flower Power”.
The Glimmer Glass butterfly was coated with a layer of clear glitter and the “Artisan Elements” from Pink Paislee were misted with “Suede” and “Sea Glass”. I also added some clear sequins to add a little more sparkle to the elements of the sign.

The tag above was made with a white with blue dots paper from Pink Paislee’s “Bayberry Cottage” collection as the base. The paper was misted with Key Lime, Lemon Grass, and Suede to change it’s color. Next I added one of the collection’s Punch Outs to the bottom of the tag.
II used an embossing medium and black embossing powder to stamp the Dragonfly image from the Tattered Angels “Nature Field Notes” set. The chipboard Frame was misted with “Juniper” and the roses were misted with “Cranberry Zing”. Both of those colors are perfect with the Bayberry Cottage papers– it’s like they were created to go together. The “happiness” tag is one of the Punch Outs from the collection.
Thanks for stopping by…..I hope that you are enjoying all of the pleasures that summer brings.

Mandy’s June Pink Paisley
When the Pink Paisley parcel arrived down under it really brightened my day with all those fun colour combinations.

My first project this month was to frame up a positive affirmation with a beach theme. Pink Paisley’s Picket Fence, Imagine and Flower Garden have such a lovely texture style print. Tattered Angels Seaside collection is a fabulous stamp set to complete the theme, combined with Heidi’s Irresistible Alphabets a fun and colourful page.

June is the month when many of us need to be organising little gifts and cards. I created this card from Pink Paisley’s Honey Comb and Think Big papers and a rumpled dictionary page. Topping them off with prima flowers and a Tattered Angels Butterfly Framed Font, popping out the center to frame up dictionary words.
Glimmer Mists: Key Lime Pie and Turquoise
A little carry bag style folder is a quick way of wrapping a photo cd or gift card with a fun combination with Tattered Travellers Glimmer Chips. Pink Paisley paper Trellis is a pretty shade of blue houndstooth that made me think of travelling through Europe.
Glimmer Glaze: Champagne, Cowboy and Orange Crush.
Thank you to everyone that commented on the altered book projects. This page has Pink Paisley’s Worker Bee as the background paper. First I misted the paper in shades of Sunshine and Crushed Shells before using Queen Bee rub on as an accent. Everyone has be saying how great these Artisan Frames are, being flexible you will be able to stick them every where and the amount of details in the frames makes it all the more fun to decorate.
