Artist Name: Heidi Blankenship Country: United States Website: http://embellished-dreams.blogspot.com/ Biography: Hello, my name is Heidi Blankenship and I live in Minnesota with my husband Eric and two boys, Dusty (16) and Evan (7). I have been involved with paper crafting for over twenty years. I was introduced to stamping in 1988 and over the years, I have taught many classes at the local stamping and scrapbooking stores. I love to create a large spectrum of projects with a broad range of styles, but I lean towards the vintage, artsy style. I've been very fortunate to work with some wonderful companies and be published in a variety of magazines. I love creating cards, altered arts, home décor, and scrapbooking— traditional and digital. In my spare time I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, photography, floral design, painting, gardening and jewelry making.
Where do you find inspiration? Everywhere—I find inspirations from family, friends, nature, music and everyday happenings. Where do you create? I have a studio in the basement but just recently I created a space on the main level of our house and I love it! Everything is organized and all of my favorite go to products are within reach. What is your favorite Glimmer Mist Color or Tattered Angels product? This is a tough question—LOL! I have several favorites but the Glimmer Mist I use the most is Iridescent Gold. It works wonderfully with everything. What is your favorite Glimmer Mist technique? I love to use the Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens to create backgrounds. Do you have any favorite ways to use Glimmer Chips, Glass or Screens? Glimmer Glass is really fun to play with and I love to heat it up and reshape it. One of my favorite things to do with the Glimmer Screens is to place them down on top of my project and apply gesso on top of the screen. I use a craft stick to spread the gesso over the entire screen, filling in all of the spaces and then carefully remove the screen and set aside to dry. This technique will create a very unique and textured background. Where can we see more of your projects? On my blog: http://embellished-dreams.blogspot.com/
