Tattered Techniques on Canvas
For those of you that know, you know my obsession with Glimmer Mist and Canvas! Well Glimmer Mist and everything, actually. But I especially love the way it works on canvas. I recently put together a tutorial for Scrap n’ Art Magazine, I am going to share a sneak peek here with you.
I was lucky enough to receive a “diddy bag” from Nantucket Baggs, if you have never seen these things you better get clicking because as soon as I started to play with it, I got rid of 90% of my other scrap totes. The bag that I got was a blank canvas, literally. Ahhh, I could not let that be, I must make it fab!
So here is what I did with it, starting with a blank canvas:
Remember to tape off any areas that you do not want to be misted.
Once the stencil is in place, mist several layers of color:
This is the side of the bag, once I was not misting, I outlined with a Sharpie pen.
Below I taped off the front of the bag.
Stenciled and misted the front pocket.
And the finished bag.
Never leave a canvas blank!
Happy Misting,
Candy Rosenberg

Looks like you are totally ready! (Get it – “tote”-ally ready….?) Thanks for staging so we can visualize how large this tote is; great project.
