Focus Frame
Aloha, Joscie here to share my latest project with you. I wanted to create a framed piece to display my word of the year. I find if I can see it, I can keep it in my mind, keep it in practice throughout the year. My word for the year is focus.
I started with a plain 8×10″ black picture frame.
I cut a piece of water color paper to 8×10″ and misted it with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist and set it aside to dry.
I also misted the framed fonts 3 in 1 alpha chips, a glimmer chip Regal Crown and Key with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist.
After the water color paper was dry, I ran it through my laminator to flatten it out. You could also use an iron. I selected the Regal frame Glimmer Screen and placed it on the upper right side of the paper.
I misted Turquoise Blue Glimmer Mist over the entire paper. (I am so in love with these colors!)
I typed out my journaling on my typewriter on a scrap piece of the water color paper and misted it with Iridescent Gold Glimmer MIst. I used my paper trimmer to cut into strips and I used a two way glue pen to glue the strips to the background. You’ll want to leave some space so your journaling won’t be covered by the frame.
I added black stitches with my sewing machine to add texture and interest to the journaling.
I peeled off the self adhesive backing from the letters and centered in the frame. I adhered the crown above the word. I added drops of Crystal Effects to each blue dot for dimension. I set it aside to dry flat.
I added a button with Crochet Thread to the key and adhered above the journaling.
I removed the glass from the frame and put my art inside.

Your project is Fabulous!!! The aqua color is beautiful esp. with the shimmer. I need to make one for my word.
