Webster’s Pages and Tattered Angels Love…
Well, I’m sure you’ve noticed from all of the blog posts this month that Webster’s Pages and Tattered Angels are a fabulous combo! For my projects this month I made a few cards.
On this first card I used Crushed Shells GM on all of the paper and diecuts. It added a really nice aged shimmery look. I used Old Lace GM on the chipboard leaves (these come in the Glimmer Chips – Creme de Chocolat – Nature Collection - which is on sale now in the store!). I also used some of the new Glimmer Glam (Golden Goddess) on the butterfly diecut, the butterfly antennae, and all around the edge of the tag. The papers and letter stickers are all from Webster’s Pages. The flower is from Prima.

On this second card I used Crushed Shells around the edges of the Webster’s Pages patterned paper. I totally love the light brown/tan glimmer mists – they are perfect for adding that vintage touch. I spayed the butterfly with some Old Lace GM and sprayed the paper inside the center of the butterfly with Olive Vine GM. The butterfly is from the Butterfly Frames Fonts Set. I also sprayed the silhouette (from Webster’s Pages) with Pearl GM and then added some Golden Goddess Glimmer Glam. That lace and flower petals trim is from Prima, found it at my local Michael’s.

On this last card I used Crushed Shells GM around the edges of the patterned paper. Like I said – I totally love this color! On the butterfly I used a combination of Crushed Shells GM and Frost GM. Once it was dry, I sanded it a bit to reveal the embossed pattern. The buttons are from Jenni Bowlin and the pearls are Mark Richards.

I also wanted to share the projects I made for CHA. The first two cards are made with the new Seaside Collection. It used the new Glimmer Chips (the little crab) and a new Glimmer Screen also in the Seaside Collection. The tan background color is Crushed Shells, the blue circle is a mix of Caribbean Blue and Electric Blue. The crab has a mix of Sunshine and Coral Reef. I used the same colors on the second card.

These next two cards are a couple of Valentine’s Day Cards using some things from the Timeless Romance Collection. The cards in the frames on each card is from the Timeless Romance Calling Cards Set. On the first one, I painted it with Glimmer Mist (colors used were – Chocolate Covered Cherries, Red Velvet, SWAK, and Sweet Clover). It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the first is coated with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist which makes the card have a beautiful clean all over glimmer.
On the second card I used Dazzling Diamonds and Silver Sugar on the frame and Chocolate Covered Cherries, SWAK, Vintage Pink for the background. The background was made using one of the Timeless Romance Glimmer Screens.
I love the new Postage Stamps Framed Fonts, the little frames are a perfect size for cards.

Here I made some little ornaments using the frames from the Postage Stamp Framed Fonts. These are double-sided. I just printed two of each of the photos and sandwiched them in between two frames. I layered a lot of colors on these frames (Dazzling Diamonds, Chocolate Covered Cherries, Silver Sugar, and Marshmallow).

The last project is a wall hanging made with the new Tattered Traveler Collection and the Postage Stamp Framed Fonts. I used lots of the new Tattered Traveler Glimmer Chips and Glimmer Screens. The Gimmer Mist colors used were: Hula Hoop, Sweet Clover, Meadow Green, Frozen Lake, Tiger Lily, Golden Terracotta, Crushed Shells, and Chocolate Covered Cherries.
I was thinking it would be cool to add another larger panel below this one where you display photos of your latest journey.

Websters Pages & Tattered Angels Fun
Hi everyone, Mandy popping in to say sorry I missed the Design Team Chat. Did everyone have fun? In this time zone it was still ‘office time’ and can assure you the meeting I was in was no where near as interesting as talking about the fun you can have with glimmer mist.
My first project for February is a 15 minute special. I was thinking of making a banner about wishes do come true with the lovely Websters Pages paper but then spotted a multi photo frame and thought this looks more finished.
And best of all, spritzing the frame, Regal Framed Fonts and slicing the paper, took me less than 15 minutes. How cool is that ! Tick that gift of our list of things to do with plenty of time to spare. The font frames are glimmerised with Lemongrass and Sunflower – and Sweet Clover and Waterslide with a bit of Sapphire that lifted it up to a denim finish.
For many of you waiting for Spring to finally arrive I can suggest the new Spring range of glimmer mists will be sure to brighten your day. Here I used them on a mini book gift to celebrate the change of seasons that can’t come soon enough for some of us and the joys of nature.
Chipboard and stamps are from the Nature series.
Websters papers are pretty tones of pinks and greens and blues match well with my colour palette of either the Spring or Summer range of special release colors. Loving the way the metallic gold trim on the new tag set add an extra flourish to everything .
Have gotten a lot of use out of the nature stamp set in so many projects and cards.
Have you tried recycling the paper towel or scrap paper you have been spraying and misting with ? Paper towel provides a texture for glimmering colours to cling to adding all kinds of interesting effects. That’s what gave me this unique little finish to the back of the mini book.
Some friends asked for suggestions on how to create masculine cards that are not all shades of brown and covered in trucks.
Our special guys deserve nice cards too so I decided to go with pretty shade of Waterslide again, and a combination of the compass from time travellers and heart from timeless romance on a time traveller chip tile of a postcard. Just love the finish you achieve with the mat, stamp combination in my little creation titled the journey to love.
Tip: personalisation is best, add postage stamps from places that are of importance or tickets from journeys for a unique and special touch you don’t get from store bought.
Finishing up with a quick little card and little nature chip tile celebrating nature in all shades of clover waterslide and cosmos.
Have a great weekend everyone! Mandy

A Paper and A Spray=A Love Story
Hehe… Jamie here to show you how great Websters and Tattered Angels work together.
Lovely
On this Lo I used one of Heidi Swapp’s Rockin Royalty custom cut-outs sprayed with Sunflower GM. I love the resist on these. And the gold is so regal !! I painted the cherries on the page with Saffron Glimmer Glaze to warm the color up a little. I love using the glaze on small areas to add a little glitz. The red background is sprayed with Candy Apple, and Wheat Fields. I used the Glimmer Glam “Rockin On Sunshine” on the centers of the cherry blossoms. The glitter is so bright and bold and goes exactly where I want it.

Please Do Not Disturb

Next I made a Lo Using Wood grain paper And used the Heidi Swapp Crest screen to make a backdrop for my Lo. Inside the shield I painted it with the Saffron Glimmer Glaze. The outside of the shield is sprayed with Pinecone glimmer mist. I sprayed the chipboard shields with Juniper. The glaze even sticks to doctors tape.

Mia Bella
I used a canvas With the outside piece of the Crest screen that I used above. I sprayed Black Magic and let it set then heat dried it with my heat gun.. Then as it was almost dry I prayed the outside with Electric Blue and Tutti Fruitti. I love how the two colors blended. I let these soak in and then heat dried these layers also. On the primed canvas if gives it a unique look. Patience is important if you want to try this. I then cut the center out of the canvas and stitched one of the new Tattered Tags to the back of the canvas. The Ir-Resist-ible Alphas are also sprayed with Tutti Fruitti. On the Roses, they were sprayed first with Tutti Fruitti and then the ends were dipped into the Electric Blue. The New VAVA Victorian Chip wings are amazing. They take color well and have a beautiful resisted design. The wings were sprayed with Tutti Fruitti and Silver Sugar.

I had so much fun working with the new Tattered Angels products and Websters Pages. I hope I have given you some new inspiration. Thank You Hugs Jamie
Tattered Angels and Webster’s Pages
Hello-
As you’ve seen previously this month, Webster’s Pages is a wonderful companion to Tattered Angel’s products. Everything flows smoothly together.
First I created a 12×12 layout with an old photo of my dad and me. Webster’s Pages papers are perfect for nostalgic pages and the new Postcard Frame and chipboard pieces from Tattered Angels add the needed embellishments. The Postcard Frame is misted with Sea Glass Glimmer Mist. On the rose I used Viva Pink and Forest Green.
My next project is a spring cone that I made from a “Postcards From Paris” collection paper. It’s a simple and quick way to add new decor to your home and you can hang it almost anywhere. The “Carpe Diem” piece and the clay bird are sprayed with Electric Blue Glimmer Mist and the newspaper style rose was misted with Vintage Pink and Viva Pink.
Lastly I used a small version of a portfolio from 7 Gypsies. First I sanded the black portfolio then sprayed on Electric Blue Glimmer Mist and added some Suede at random over the top.
The inside is covered with Webster’s Pages paper. The center portion of the inside of the portfolio is a piece of art that I did to highlight a photo of my grandmother when she was young. I think that the portfolio’s would be great to have as a collection for several of my ancestors and they could hold basic information about each of them. The pom pom trim and the pretty laces used are also from Webster’s Pages and the stamping was done with Tattered Angel’s “Vintage Seasons” Clear stamps.
Thanks for stopping by!

Favor Boxes

A basket full of Spring! Right now, it’s snowing in Northern Colorado, so it was so nice creating something colorful and “Springy.” These little boxes were cut from the Webster’s Pages Postcards from Paris line. Beautiful colors! Once I cut the boxes out, though, I had to add a little Glimmer. These boxes were sprayed with a combination of Olive Vine, Wheatfields and Vintage Pink. Then, they were stamped with the small flourish from the Tattered Angels In Flight Clear Stamps set. It is the perfectly sized flourish for these little accents. Once stamped, I trimmed the flourish design in a fine glitter to add some extra texture. Tattered Angels Glimmer Glass embellishments add extra decoration and dimension, and each one is tied off with a little bell tag to address to a friend.

Hint: heat the Glimmer Glass with a heat tool for about 3 seconds then bend into desired shape. Glimmer Glass will harden into its new position in seconds! Touch up with some Glimmer Glam for some sparkle!

Hint: Heat Glimmer Glass into a new position, then accent with small adhesive embellishments like this little rhinestone or pearl. To make the Glass piece more opaque, paint the back of it with acrylic paint, spray with a new Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, or layer with Glam or Glaze.

These sweet little favor baskets will be great for wedding showers, garden parties, Easter, a ladies luncheon, or just a small token of appreciation for a special friend or teacher. It just so happens I have 8 of them that I would love to GIVEAWAY! Come visit me on my blog for how to win: http://blog.michellesvintagestudio.com.
Happy Creating!!!
Michelle

Webster’s Pages & Tattered Angels – a great combo!
As you have most likely realized by now, we are featuring Webster’s Pages goodies this month, in conjunction with the overwhelmingly yummy Tattered Angels products, a lot of which has just debuted at Winter CHA in Anaheim (and I am very jealous of all of those who made it to CHA!).
Here’s a few things that I came up with…
First, a Welcome card made using some WP papers, some Glimmer Mist over a Postage Stamp alpha frame and a tied ribbon. There’s also a little Travel post card underneath the frame… I love throwing these in or tucking them behind other embellishments to add a little extra dose of hi… The alphas are from Rusty Pickle.

Secondly, a “Be queen for a day because you are worth it” card. Who doesn’t need to be reminded, every once in a while, to be a queen for a day? I know I do in all the hustle and bustle of life – not that it’s a bad thing, of course! This was a simple card made on the back of a bingo board from the Family Bingo Cards set. The star was cut out of a WP paper and silhouette. The star cutout was used twice – once as the actual star on the card and then again with the cutout remnants of the paper used as a mask for some Glimmer Mist over spray.

Finally, a photo-less layout about Wishes. Sometimes it is a challenge in and of itself — to work on a full-sized page without a photo… I dare you to try it! This layout uses the WP background paper, Nature Graceful Journey Glimmer Screen butterfly, Glimmer Mist and a corrugated cardboard cutout sprayed with Mist.

Thanks for stopping by!
