Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels Love…
Hi! Patty here with my first post on the Tattered Angels blog and it’s the last post of our month of Graphic 45 collaboration. To be honest when I got the papers in the mail, I thought this would be a challenge because it didn’t look like paper I would normally select to work with; but as it turned out - I really loved these papers! The colors and patterns work so nicely together and they look great with kraft paper; which is one of my favs! So, let me show you what I made…
When I saw the Transatlantique Collection, it reminded me of a vintage suitcase covered in stickers from around the world – and then I thought about my own travels and the little foreign coin collection I’ve gathered over the years. So, I thought it would be nice to alter some type of container to make a home for these coins. When I went to the craft store I found a tiny balsa wood suitcase – it was perfect! I removed all of the hardware and then I sprayed the whole thing with glimmer mist. I used Coffee Shop and Graphite on the outside and Sapphire on the interior. I cut out bits and pieces from the Graphic 45 papers and glued them to the outside of the suitcase, then I coated the exterior with Mod Podge. I reattached all of the hardware and embellished the top with chipboard letters (framed fonts from the Nature and Traveler collections), letter stickers and a coin. As a little added touch, using large 3-D dots I adhered two chipboard photo corners (from Regal glimmer chips) to the underside of the top. These created a holder for a glimmer chip magnifying glass (from Nature glimmer chips). I’m still looking for an actual small magnifying glass that I will attach to this glimmer chip so it can be a functional addition to the box.

Next I made a few cards. The all use papers from Graphic 45 Transatlantique Collection. On the first two I used the Graceful Journey Screen Prints and Glimmer Screens. I love the butterfly in this set, it’s the perfect size for cards. The brown glimmer mist is Coffee Shop and the green is Forest Green. I added a few simple embellishments: decorative pins, gems and letter stickers.

On the next card, I used the butterfly embossed glimmer chip (from the Nature set). I sprayed it with Suede glimmer mist and sanded it to reveal some of the white chipboard.

On this last card, I used a glimmer screen from the Garden Blossom set. I sprayed it with Meadow Green glimmer mist and used it like a stamp to make a background for the flowers that I puched-out of the patterneded paper. Then I just added a few gems, ribbon and letter stickers.

Well, that’s it for me today. I hope you enjoyed and were inspired by the past month of Graphics 45 and Tattered Angels love. Next month’s focus is on Glimmer Kits! These are kits that include a variety of Tattered Angels products – making it easy for you to just open the box and start creating! There are even some inspiration images included with the kits to get you going. So be sure to check back throughout next month and see how much goodness you can get out of Glimmer Kits!
Take care – Patty
A Graphic Glimmer Experience
I can’t tell you how much fun I had to work with all the yummie Tattered Angels Products and the amazing Graphic 45 Papers.
The Transatlantique Collection by Graphic 45 just gave me the kick to start with my travel album about my recent trip to the States where I have been seeing a lot of stunning Nationalparks and Cities.
*Travel*
Supplies: Tattered Angels – Glimmer Mist: Red Velvet, Misty Breeze, Arctic Blue – Framed Fonts Regal Embossed – Glimmer Screens: Tattered Traveler – Clear Stamps: Compass - Bingo Boards and Calling Cards: Travel ; Graphic45: Transatlantique Collection – Pack Your Bags, Bon Voyage, Transatlantique Tags
I sprayed the Map Paper with Glimmer Mist and rolled a Brayer over it. I also sprayed with Glimmer Mist over white Cardstock and the Compass Screen. After it dried a stamped with the Compass Stamp on top and cut the image out. I sprayed with different Glimmer Mist over the Chipboard letters and as I wanted the color really saturated I didn’t blot it off but simply heat dried it.
*Road Trip*

Supplies: Tattered Angels: Glimmer Screen Tattered Traveler, Tattered Traveler Clock, Framed Fonts Regal Embossed – Graphic45: Transatlantique Collection Traveloque, All Aboard, Paris Post
I used chalk over the Glimmer Screen and then stamped with the clock above it.
The Christmas Paper we got totally set me into holiday mood and I created the following Layout:
*Joy*

Supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Candlelight, Cranberry Zing; Framed Fonts Regal Embossed, Notes From the Garden Stamps – Graphic45: Christmas Collection Deck the Halls, Letters to Santa, We wish you a merry Christmas
I painted part of the paper with acrylic paint, I sprayed some Candlelight Glimmer Mist on top of a teflon sheet and used it with part of the Notes From The Garden Stamp and blotted the access off. I used Cranberry Zing Glimmer mit with the Framed Fonts and stamped the journaling stamp from the Notes From the Garden Set on top of some paper which I attached behind one of the Embossed Frames.
And then I created those Christmas Ornaments:

Supplies: Tattered Angels – Glimmer Mist Juniper, Misty Breeze, Irisdescent Gold, Graphite, Denim Blue, Turquoise Blue; Chip Tiles Regal Embossed; Framed Fonts Regal Embossed; Glimmer Glass Frosty Memories, Clear Stamps Nature Field Notes
Graphic 45: Ode to Joy Paper, Ranger Liquid Pearls and Inks, Adorondack Dimensional Pearls, Martha Stewart Glitter, 3L Adhesive, Ribbon unknown, My Little Shoebox Letter Stickers
I sprayed with different blue colored Glimmer Mists on top of the Chip Tiles as well as on the Frames. On the second ornament I stamped with the swirl stamp from the Field Notes Set. I used eggshell white Acrylic Paint behind the Glimmer Glass Icing and pressed it while still wet on top of the Chip Tile as the paint works as a great glue. I used Dimensional Pearls inside the second Frame and dipped little dots on the embossed dot parts of the Chipboard Tiles and Frames.
I hope those layouts, projects and technics inspire you- have a wonderful and gorgeous day!

Happy Thanksgiving
Mandy signing in to wave Hello from down under Australia.
Thanksgiving is a special celebration in North America. It is a time to think of family and friends, for me that includes family and friends in Plymouth MA and my new friends here with Tattered Angels.
Thank you for welcoming me to the team.
Graphic 45’s Renaissance range is full of lovely autumn shades just perfect for seasonal creative projects. Graphic 45’s double sided Renaissance papers gave a warm flavor to this welcome wall hanging finished off with fleur de lis for a little flourish.
Details:
Renaissance Bona Fide to cut leaves using both sides of matching red and gold
Renaissance Triumphant Striped cutting along the stripes and patching together for a nice long banner.
Tattered Angels leaf shape from Nature Graceful Journey collection and Fleur de Lis and swirl from Regal collection.
Glimmer mists: To achieve mottled shades, I layered lots of different colors. Lemon Zest on raw chipboard letters to take the edge off.
All the chipboard has a mix of Sunflower and Tiger Lily with a touch of Suede to bring a brown crunchy edge.
Placecards are a fun decoration, long strips of pretty printed papers folded up make for fun feathers, tucked behind a circle creating a cutie of a turkey shape. Scrolls and vintage print images from Graphic 45 Masterpiece added a nice decorative touch.
Details:
Turkey Graphic 45 Awakening cut in strips & Masterpiece for the lovely scrolled prints. Topped off with a touch of glimmer mist Peppermint Stick.
And the last of the Renaissance Bona Fide went into a few more leaves for the table. Tattered Angels leaf stamp from the Nature Graceful Journey collection
Instant communication makes it is easy to forget formal thank you’s but saying thank you is the nicest compliment you can give your host, so don’t forget to put it in writing.
Details: Graphic 45 Venetian Lace lettering makes an easy choice for letter blocks glammed up with a splash of Glimmer Mist candlelight. Graphic 45’s Awakening is a pretty background print for seasonal projects but I had run out of cardstock to carry off the color scheme – until I saw that Glimmer Mist Olive Vine matched perfectly trimming off a plain white card to be just the little more sparkly. A quick mist of Iridescent Gold sealed all the layers.
In this part of the world, today is just another day on the calendar but the concept of giving thanks is too sweet to not want to celebrate especially in all the wonderful glimmer mist shades of . . . . . Olive, Candlelight, Peppermint Stick, Lemon Zest, Suede, Tiger Lilly and Sunflower.

Adding a glimmer to Graphic 45
Hello it’s Jamie here. I am so excited to be working with Tattered Angel and Graphic 45 papers this month. I had the joy to work with the Transatlantique Collection and the Renaissance Faire Collection.
My first piece is a wall hanging I made with one of the Tattered Angels Regal Chip Tiles. I sprayed the tile with Sunflower and Wheat Fields. I then distressed it with ink. I sprayed all of the Graphic 45 paper with Iridescent Gold and folded and molded the paper in place, to make the bow and ruffle. The paper is thick and gives very well without tearing. Framed Mona Lisa with a Tattered Angel Chipboard frame.

With a little extra accents to finish off the piece

For my next two pieces I Used a combination of the two collections.
My LO is of a trip to Pismo Beach and I love how the Graphic 45 paper complements the picture so well. The colors of Glimmer mist I used on this page were; Suede and Olive Vine for the background, Suede and Sun-kissed Peach for the Tattered Angels Creme Collection swirl and Bingo Card, On the Day at the Beach tag I used Olive Vine and Suede, And on the picture frame I used Iridescent Gold. I sprayed and brayered the cardstock then used the Tattered Angels Compass Stamp to create my background.

To add detail to the Creme Glimmer Chip Swirl I added twine to add dimention. Topped it off with fabric and shells we found wile on the beach.

For my last project I created a canvas of a day at Pismo Beach. Tattered Angels Glimmer mist blends well with Artist’s mediums. I blended Pinecone and Frozen Lake with Gloss Gel Medium. TIP: try not to blend too much or the result may begin to look muddy and muted. Before the medium dried I adhered A Tattered Angels Beach Bingo Card to the canvas into the medium. I them used Artic Blue along with The travel series Stencil. After I sprayed my stencil I turned it over and used it as a stamp in the corner . Added my Graphoc 45 Transatlantique papers and embelishments. I highlighted the little ones by using one of the clock Glimmer Chip outlines.

Look at how well the Glimmer mist Mixes with the Gel Medium.

Thank You for coming by Tattered Angels Blog. I hope I have given you new ideas and techniques to use with your Tattered Angels products.
Hugs
Jamie
Tattered Angels + Graphic 45 = Love
No kidding! I am in love with the pairing of these 2 product lines. I could have created a bunch more projects and not been bored a bit. The look is my favorite–vintagey and distressed.
My first project contains a new discovery… well for me anyway. I covered the Regal Alpha Framed Fonts with a thick layer of Mod Podge then applied some coarse silver glitter. Immediately after that step I sprayed on Olive Vine Glimmer Mist. I really didn’t know what was going to happen or if the Glimmer Mist would even take to the glitter, but I was thrilled to see the results. I couldn’t have come any closer to creating a glass glitter look if I had tried. It even has that tarnished look, like I had actually used real, old, tarnished, German Glass Glitter. To say that I am beside myself over this discovery is an understatement!
Many ideas to use this effect were swimming around in my head, so I made a mad dash for the craft store to find something else to glitter and glimmer.
I found some leaves that were already glittered up for Christmas, but I wanted that German Glass Glitter look, so I applied the same steps to them as I did the Regal alphas.
Just for the fun of it, I even tried another color on a bunch of artificial leaves. In the photo below, the top image is the original leaves, then the coarse silver glitter ones sprayed with Olive Vine, and the bottom ones were sprayed with Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist.
On the layout I first sprayed Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to get a splattered look onto the background paper. If you only push the spray nozzle down about half way, the mist will come out in bigger drops. Then I used several Graphic 45 “Domestic Goddess” papers, cut into strips to represent a quilted look, then added lots of stitching. The Domestic Goddess tag was cut from their “Farmers Market” paper then layered over the glittery leaves with pop dots.
I added a Regal Glimmer Glass crown that I painted black on the back side and sprayed Coffee Shop mist on the front. The eyelet trim was aged with Candle Light and Suede Glimmer Mists.
My next layout features the The Graphic 45 “Domestic Goddess” papers once again with a piece of their “Transatlantic” paper used as the background.
On the Regal Chip Tiles that I used as photo mats, I first used glitter glue to highlight some of the embossed images in the tiles. Once the glitter glue was dry I sprayed them with Candle Light and Suede mists. The glitter glues took on the golden glimmer of the Candle Light mist and is so much prettier with my layout colors than the original color.

The Regal Framed Fonts are sprayed with Seaglass Glimmer Mist then lightly with Suede to add some distressing. The outside frame and photo corners are sprayed with Peppermint Stick and then Tiger Lily to make them closer to the color of the red in the papers.
For my next project I used a Glimmer Screen from the Starter Kit, layed it on fabric then sprayed it with English Ivy.
I layered my fabric onto Graphic 45 “Your’s Truly” paper then added the embellishments. I did the faux German Glass Glitter effect on the Regal Frame as on my “Mom” layout above.
The “Savor the Journey” tag from the family Bingo Board set is sprayed with Marshmallow then Iridescent Gold.
.
And just because I had some over spray on the fabric that I used above, I decided to mist a little more and added it to this journal. The English Ivy was sprayed on the left side of the fabric first, then I laid down the Glimmer Screen from the Starter Kit and misted on Vintage Pink.
The journal was covered with Graphic 45 “Lady of the House” paper then Mod Podged to protect it from use. I did lots of hand stitching and some beading onto the fabric, misted a big flower with Vintage Pink and Pink Bubblegum, then added it to the the front of the journal. Now I can’t wait to fill up my journal!
Best wishes for a creative day,
Linda

Some fun with Tattered Angels and Graphic 45
I had so much fun working these to products together! Gorgeous rich colors of Glimmer Mist.. matched up with the beautiful patterned papers from Graphic 45s ”Domestic Goddess” line were a dream to work with. For this layout I used…
Glimmer Screens Decorative Corners
Tattered Traveler Pocket Watch Framed Fonts (Style)
Stamp- Tattered Traveler Clock
Regal Glimmer Chips (fleur-de-leis)
Glimmer Mist colors- Brick, Patina, Blue Skies, and Sandy Beach

For my next project I chose to do a canvas. I love how Glimmer Mist takes to Canvas! It’s just beautiful!!
I like to do my canvas projects a bit differently. I turn my canvas over and use it from the back. This creates a wood frame all they way around the edges.. which is great for covering with paper ( or Glimmer Mist)
Again.. Domestic Goddess Paper line from Graphic 45
Glimmer Mist- Brick and Sandy Beach

Here is a better view of the inside. The Glimmer Mist takes well to the canvas and to the wood.

This next project started as a simple unfinished oval wood wrap around box that I found at the $ store.
I used the same paper line , with
1 of the frames from the Framed Fonts and
Peach delight and Sunflower colors of Glimmer Mist.

This was a simple and inexpensive project to do. It will make a nice little gift box. I’m planning on using it to put a gift card in.

It’s been a fun month, seeing what the DT’s have been creating with these too beautiful products.
Keep watching ..there’s more to come!

WE {HEART} TWILIGHT! {giveaway closed}
So I have to tell you all a little secret… Here at the Tattered Angels office we are kinda hooked on the Twilight series from Stephenie Meyer.
Here is a Twilight inspired layout using some shots of our warehouse and office. Yup, we have Edward’s picture up in the warehouse, magazines (you know the kind you use to buy when you were 12, yup that’s us!) all around our meeting room, and a few copies of each of the books rotating around the staff (well the girls at least, still working on the guys, like that will ever happen)

The background was created using the back of a Prima Paintable and misted with some beautiful sunset colors (Deep Plum, Tiger Lily) Sunflower) Pashmina and Candy Apple Red). The title is using our Nature framed fonts and some Prima pulse chipboard.

Here is a close up of the textures that I created with crepe paper, tulle, thread, crystal swirls and beading. the framed font frame was colorered using Cinder Glimmer Mist and then I sanded the embossing to make it white again. the Prima font was painted with red paint and then misted and stickled to match the layout.

Also for some added fun, I used a non threaded sewing machine to puncture holes all through out my layout.
Tomorrow night a group of 20 Tattered Angels employees and designers are headed to the first viewing of Twilight’s “New Moon” here in Colorado. We have been looking forward to it for sooo long!
Also….
If you hadn’t noticed…
One of our new Timeless Romance Colors is named in honor of one of our favorite Twilight characters. Hint Hint… He sparkles
If you love Twilight (or even if you don’t!) Post what color you think is in honor of one of the Twilight characters on this post and we will pic a winner for four bottles of Glimmer Mist including: Cinder (black with a blue glimmer), Candy Apple Red (true red with a golden glimmer), our mystery color (the one you are guessing) and the one and only bottle left of twilight (last falls color, pale blue with a lavender iridescent glimmer).
For those of you going to the first showing… Enjoy and let us know how you like it!
Enjoy!

Hi from the Netherlands
As a new DT member this is my first post on the Tattered Angels blog. I hope you will forgive my grammar mistakes.
We’ve been having a blog relay with Graphic 45 as you might know and their papers work so well together with the Tattered Angels products. I will show you 3 layouts I created.
Amy @ 4:
I used the Domestic Goddess collection by Graphic 45. I loved the Chip Titles 4″ x 7″ Embossed Titles Nature so much I needed to use it for this layout. I sprayed some Glimmer Mist on it ( Autumn Leaves, Iridescent Gold, Denim blue) and then used a little chalk on top to highlight the embossed figures.
I used Glimmer Mist Daffodil on the Butterfly frame from the Framed Fonts. Great to use as an embellishment. And to stay with the butterflies I used the Glimmer Glass Nature Crème de Cocoa as well.
Lady:
With this layout I did some sort of stamping with the Glimmer Screen Stencils. You can use them for masking technique, but I sprayed Glimmer Mist ( Olive Vine ) on the stencil and gently layed it on my white cardstock. With a little lollipop stick I pressed on the stencil. With a tweezer I picked up the stencil and you see I created a nice pattern as a background for my photo.
Other products I used:
-Glimmer Screens-Decorative Corners
-Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist; Olive Vine, Daffodil, Coffee Shop, Iridescent Gold
-Nature Glimmer Glass Cocoa
-Regal Glimmer Glass Rouge
-Regal Alpha Framed Fonts
And ofcourse the wonderful Graphic 45 papers
Girls:
With this layout I used also some Graphic 45 papers ( Baby 2 Bride/Renaissance Fair collection). I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the paper. The color Moonlight on the white cardstock and Olive Vine as a background for the cluster. Also some drops of Juneberry Wine as an extra touch.
I cut out the image from the package of the Screenprints Grand-Scale Garden Clear Stamps. Going green as you can say, just use the package instead of the stamps…lol. You can also see a little from the Glimmer Chips Regal Embossed swirl I used. It just pops underneath the journaling card. I added some glitter to let it shine a bit.
The Bingo Boards & Calling cards are great to add the journaling on. I used the one from the Family collection. The journaling is in Dutch, but it’s saying that my girls were bridesmades on the wedding of their daddy’s brother. ( just if you were curious…;-) )
Other items I used:
-Glimmer Glass Regal crème de cocoa
-Framed Fonts 3-in-1 Alpha chips nature embossed
Thanks for taking a look at the Tattered Angels blog!
