Fall Journal
Now that it has finally started getting cooler, I’m getting in the mood for Fall. Visits to the pumpkin patch, planting mums and raking leaves are some of my favorite events of the season.
I decided that I wanted to create a special journal where I could save snippets of the season. Whether they are photos, ticket stubs, brochures or just journaling entries, all of my memories of Fall are going to be tucked into this journal.
I pulled out lots of Glimmer Mist colorsL Jack O Lantern, Candlelight, Indian Corn, Latter, Harvest Orange, Sunflower and English Ivy were all used on this project. The cover was sprayed with Glimmer Mist. Then, I rubbed a Versmark pad around the edges and onto the embossed surface. I sprinkled on gold embossing powder, then used a tissue to wipe some of it off. I heat embossed it and created a distressed, embossed surface on the cover and edges of the journal.
Next, I added glitter to the Creme de Rouge leaves and a Regal Alpha frame. I spritzed them with several colors of Glimmer Mist to give them a mottled look. Finally, I layered some flowers and leaves together with them to create the cover of the journal.

Next, I sprayed several of the inside pages with Glimmer Mist. I also used some of the stamps byt spritzing them and stamping the image onto the pages. I left the pages blank for now so that I can fill them up as the season progresses.

Now, all I have to do is get out there and start creating memories. At least I know that once I do, I’ll have a sweet little place to record them.

Back to School
I love taking the back to school photos and documenting all of the excitement of the first day. But, the early fall is another time that I like to take a minute and document the little things. This page shows his favorite things right now. I journaled about everything from his love for Legoes and Webkinz to how he adores being snuggled and getting lots of tickles. It will be fun to look back and see exactly what he was like as he started school this year.
I used several shades of Glimmer Mist on here. To create the photo frame, I sprayed Key Lime on an old book page and layered it onto corrugated cardboard and some vintage sheet music. Then I wrapped it in twine.

I used a Glimmer Screen on the patterned paper and sprayed Timeless Lilac on that.

To create the title, I used Creme de Cocoa and Key Lime Pie on some Regal Alphas and layered the letters onto the frame. I used foam adhesive on the center letter.

Finally, I added some Glimmer Glass to accent the photo. I just love that big swirl!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! ~Anabelle
Spider Pumpkin
I love the “Vintage Halloween Hauntings” Stamps so much … I decided I was going to decorate this little pumpkin I pick up , using the spider stamp that is in this set.

As you can see, there are lots of great stamps in this set. I’m thinking I’ll do another pumkin, using that black cat next! ( back to the store for another pumpkin) lol

I started by using “brick” Glimmer Mist to give a more aged look to my pumpkin ( yes..the pumpkin is real). What I did ,was spray the Glimmer Mist over the entire pumpkin, and then let it set and dry “some”. I then took a papertowel and lightly wiped away some areas. ( leaving Glimmer Mist in the lines of the pumpkin). I then set it aside and let it dry completely.
While it was drying I worked on my spiders. I stamped the spiders on to black cardstock , using an embossing pad. I sprinked sliver embossing powder over the stamped image, and knocked off any excess embossing powder before heating with a heat tool. I then cut the spiders out and added them randomly to my “dry” pumpkin using a quick drying liquid ahesive such as Beacon 3 in 1 or diamond glaze. From there, you can just add ribbons and gems to embellish if you wish.

I did also make this cratepaper and cardstock base to set it on . Being true to my obsessive need to use “Irridesent Gold” over every finished project I seem to make….
Well..you guessed it. Spray over everything with Irridesent Gold. ( I have too!) l0l

Thanks for coming by!
Organizing Glimmer Mist
When I first began collecting Glimmer Mist, I stored all of my bottles on a small shelf in my scraproom. Well, my collection grew and grew and soon it was too big for my shelf! I kept them in a box on my floor for a few weeks, but, as you can imagine, that was quite a hassle. It took me forever to find the specific colors I was looking for and defiinitely was not aesthetically pleasing.
Finally, I’ve found a great way to store my Glimmer Mist bottles. Awhile ago, I read on Lisa Pace’s blog how she stored her paint by color in an over the door shoe holder. I created one of myown. Looking at it, not too long ago, I got the idea that I could add my Glimmer Mists right into the pockets with the paints. And that is exactly what I did.
Now, my mists are sorted by color and are SOOO easy to find. PLUS, I can grab paints that match them, as well. The clear pockets make them easy to find and having them in sight makes me reach for them all of the time

Speaking of Glimmer Mist, here’s a card that I made using the Creme de Rouge Glimmer Chips and some English Ivy, Candlelight, Sunflower, Latte and Indian Corn Glimmer Mists. I added glitter to the chips then sprayed them with several different colors. The cream cardstock in the background was sprayed with Bronze and gives the card another dimension of shimmer.

That’s it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day~ Anabelle
Home from Scrapfest!
We are home from Scrapfest and had a wonderful time. Together there were eight of us, Wendy, Michelle, Allison, Jeff, Lisa Zappa, Cory Phillips, Vicki Chrisman, and myself enjoyed three jam packed crafting days with Archivers customers at the Mall of America.

Here is a picture of our booth, can you believe we had eight of us in this booth! We were able to have 9 make and takes going at one time, it was nice to have so much help as we met so many Tattered Angels fans.

Here is the line for our Make and Take. It started at the front of our booth and wrapped around the back and sometimes even overlapped our neighbors line. We tried our hardest to keep up with the public and have our line go quick and efficiently.

Here is Michelle our Creative Director as she is about to begin a Make and Take.

Here is Allison our Purchase Manager, assisting crafters with our Two Step stamping.

And you know it wouldn’t be a Mall of America experience without a few critters coming by to say hi!
Here is the Bubba Gump Shrimp stopping by to get his mist on.

And Miss Vicki giving him a little smooch!

After word got out, all the critters made their way to our booth, Here is who we like to call “Misty the Moose” coming by to get in on the Glimmer action.

And what’s not to love about this little guy? He was just begging for a smooch!

Here is one of our six classes. Our classes were completely SOLD OUT! IT was great to get to meet so many wonderful students who were so eager to learn. So many new people to Glimmer Mist, and even the Glimmer vets, all loved getting to enjoy some misting fun.

And here one of our DIE HARD Glimmer fans, Ada from Puerto Rico, flew in to celebrate her birthday with Archivers and Tattered Angels during ScrapFest, Happy Birthday Ada!

Here is the Archivers aisle of Tattered Angels product. We had a hard time keeping in stocked, everyone just loved Tattered Angels!

And after a fun day of crafting, it was nice to sit with our friends and eat dinner and talk about our fun filled day.

We had such a great time at Scrapfest and can’t wait to get back next year!
Thanks for hearing about our journey!

Some fun stuff to share…
As you know Tattered Angels teams up every so often with different manufacturers. We just wanted to share a sneak peek to what is in store in the next few weeks. With our new Design Team gearing up for some fun, here are some canvas and embellishments from Canvas Corp. that we will be featuring.

Just imagine everything in the picture COMPLETELY COVERED In Glimmer Mist and other Tattered Angels product…
Just something for you to think about!
Thanks for peeking!
Fall is in the air…
and I thought I would take a quick moment to share some Tattered Angels Goodness with you. All of these projects will be classes offered in a few different cities across North America at various stores or events.

First up… this adorable little notebook fashioned out of the new Chip Tiles.
Cut up a couple of the Bingo Cards in this kit to 4″ wide and they will fit in as one of the pages.

Use the Bind-it-all to punch the holes and secure the coil at the top. Use the co-ordinating embellishments included in this kit to create a one of a kind keepsake perfect for jotting down some important notes worthy of keeping for many moons to come:)
The fun does not stop there though… OH NO! The Tattered Angels Glimmer Kits are packaged in fabulous little cardboard boxes that scream to be reused:)

Line the box, inside and out with paper (such as this lovely Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess), Spritz with a touch of Glimmer Mist to perfectly age the papers and embellish to your hearts content with the enclosed embellies. The Glimmer Alphas were sprayed and inked to give the antique look you see here. The Bingo Cards were cropped to better suit my design needs this time around. Remember, if something is not quite the right size, alter it!

The last project is this lovely wall hanging that will be taught this upcoming weekend in Toronto, Ontario at Bizzy B’s
It features a plethora of Tattered Angels goodness and will show the class attendee numerous techniques that will increase your skills for working with the Tattered Angels line of products. Not only will you have the opportunity to get all misty and play with Glimmer Chips, Screens and Mists but you rumour is we will have a VERY special guest in this class… Jackie Ludlage (Editor of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine!).

And just a little tip or trick for something different to try… the large fleur de lis was Glimmer Misted and then I covered it in Glossy Accents and sprinkled with…. COFFEE!!! Yup:) It has the texture that I was going for and smells great too! Sounds CRAZY right? Well, it worked and I love the final effect so why not? I wonder what will be next?
Happy Scrapping!
Trisha
