BINGO Board love…
I am crazy about these fun new Bingo Boards…I can’t tell you how excited I have been to work with them. For this project I altered a wooden dress form by covering it in a new Bingo Board from Tattered Angels. It is coated in a new Glimmer Mist color called Creme de Rouge and embellished with Creme de Chocolat Regal Glimmer Chips and Embossed Regal Chips. The large Chocolat Regal Glimmer Chip is also coated in a new Glimmer Mist color called Creme de Cocoa….a new favorite of mine…it’s soft and shabby and weathered and warm.

CHA Sneek Peak Beautiful Nature Tiles

- Nature Chip Tiles
Detailed view of the intricate design of the butterfly.
Ok I am not very good at keeping a secret, so I will show you my whole project
.
I have been trying to format the post it did not work.In this project I used the new nature chip tiles as a small mini album. I attached the album to a larger piece of chipboard.
The detail on the Nature chip tiles was begging to be colored. I used a waterbrush and multiple colors to bring out the embossed designs. I added many layers and multiple colors to the base of the chip tiles.
The glimmer stained glass elements were created by coloring the underside of the glass with Copic markers, and than using the heat tool to bend and mold the pieces. I love the look of stain glass and have found this technique provides some amazing results with little effort.
Welcome to the garden of a girl who believes in fairytales and dreams in color. A non traditional view of nature. Here the world is viewed through my rose color glasses.
Have a Scrappy Day

Fathers Day Gift Idea

You can easily create a special and unique gift for dad by selecting masculine colors of Glimmer Mist, and using a more “rugged” base for your project. Here, I used an empty Glimmer Kit box (I know you’ve got them). I simply peeled off the top layer of the box to reveal the corrugated cardboard underneath.

Next, I sprayed the sides of the box with English Ivy Glimmer mist.
I then sprayed the edges of the lid and the edges of the sides with Tattered Leather. I inked all of the edges of the box with walnut ink and added the copper corners and brads. for the Top of the lid I cut a piece of light totally tan cardstock from Colormates and sprayed the whole piece with sand Glimmer Mist, using a brayer to spread the glimmer mist.

I layed down the compass glimmer screen in the center of the cardstock piece and sprayed over it with English Ivy. After the glimmer mist was dry, I used the compass screen print stamp to stamp an image at the top left and bottom right corners. Then I distressed the edgess with an edge distresser, and inked the edges with walnut ink.

I tore a piece of vintage map patterned paper slightly larger than the cardstock piece. I sprayed the patterned paper with Sand Glimmer mist. When dry, I adhered the map paper to the top of the box, then the cardstock piece. I sprayed a piece of light totally tan cardstock with Tattered Leather and crumpled it while the glimmer mist was still wet. I unfolded it, smoothed it out and dried it. I sprayed the Tattered Traveler framed fonts with Tuscan Sun Glimmer mist and then Sand Glimmer Mist over the top. After they were dry, I inked the edges with walnut ink. I adhered them to the strip of crinkled cardstock and attached to the top of the box with brads. I used a Tattered Traveler framed font outer piece for the pocket watch accent. I sprayed the pocket watch chipboard piece, the keyhole chipboard piece, and the key chipboard piece with coffee shop glimmer mist, copper glimmer mist, and patina glimmer mist to make them look like aged copper.

Voila, your done! This whole project only took about an hour. I also covered the inside of the box with more of the vintage map patterned paper. You could try all sorts of color combinations for this box, my husband just happens to prefer green and brown. Have fun creating, and Happy Fathers Day!

A bit of eye candy to kick start your weekend…
Hi all… Trisha here with a little project to share:)
First, I will ask to you to forgive my photos that have not been edited… my computer is giving me extreme grief so I am stuck with these pics for now:)
So here is the story behind this project (incase you are interested)… recently I had the privilege of teaching aboard an Alaskan Cruise as a part of the Northridge Media team in which Tattered Angels was one of our very generous class sponsors for the lucky participants:) While we were in port in Victoria, BC, my dear friend, Trena, whom I have known since 7th grade came to pick us up and took us out for a night on the town. Even though we have been friends for more than 25 years (EEEEK!), we have very few photos together, certainly nothing that either one of us would want out in public at this point…lol! Anyways, we did manage to have this photo taken of us that evening and I treasure it dearly so it seemed only fitting to create a keepsake highlighting it:) Enter Tattered Angels… no other goodies in the scrapbook world compliment this project better in my humble opinion:)
So what did I do? Well, I started with a white piece of chipboard that had been run through the AccuCut machine to give me this wonderful scalloped circle to form my base. I often like to use chipboard for the base as it allows me to spray multiple layers of Glimmer Mist without warping the paper too much. The chipboard with the white sided chipboard works best as it does not alter the end colour of the Glimmer Mist.

I sprayed a base coat of Wheatfields Glimmer Mist, laid down a few of the Glimmer Screens from the Designer Series and then layered on the colours until I achieved a result I was happy with. Although it is difficult to see in these pics, there is a nice combination of Sand, Suede ,Harvest Orange and a touch of Patina. I used the same colours on my Tattered Angels Alphabets (note that I used the positive and negative parts:) I was going for a distressed look with them so I actually dipped my fingertips into some of the excess Glimmer Mist on my mat and spread it sloppily on the letters:)

I added some colour to the Tattered Angels Glimmer Chip photo corner too and then applied ink to the raised portions, highlighting thwe pattern. This was also done to the letters but more care was put into the “G” so some of the finer details were enhanced:)
I distressed the Graphic 45 papers by crumpling, sanding, inking and giving a light spritz of Glimmer Mist. The Prima flowers and lace were also altered with Glimmer Mist… tying the entire project together. Even though none of the products were designed to work together, by using Glimmer Mist on all components they all ended up complimenting each other very well!!!
So the next time you are playing in your scrap space and find that you do not have matching papers and embellishments, break out that Glimmer Mist and see what YOU can do to make it work! I think you will be seriously impressed with what you can come up with!
Also, try using chipboard as your base OR adhere your patterned paper to Chipboard BEFORE spraying to alleviate that excessive warping that can occur. Another option… be like be and embrace the lumps and bumps…. YUP! I quite often like to work the so called imperfections in the shape of the paper into my project. While it is moist with Glimmer Mist, bend, curl and crumple to add a nice bit of texture that you are sure to like. If you don’t and it really bothers you… break out the iron! YUP! You heard me… use your good old fashioned iron and carefully iron from the backside of the paper and that should help to smooth it out too:)
I hope you found these tips helpful:) Be sure to check back often as it is our goal as a team to constantly inspire you and give you plenty of tips and tricks. AND we are also on FAcebook and would love to see you in our group there… join us for some fun by simply searching for Tattered Angels, join the group and chime in. We would also LOVE to see your creations there too so be sure to post photos for us all to see:)
One last hing before I run… be sure to check outour educational calendar to see where a Tattered Angels class will be happening near you. There are a bunch of Tattered Angels Endorsed Educators around the world anxious to share some fun projects with you and in the near future, the calendar will be full of dates and classes near and far to choose from!
Happy Scrapping everyone and have a FAB weekend!
