Glimmer Screened Card

Glimmer Screens are a great way to make a quick, beautiful card. On this card, I used the large FDL Glimmer Screen from the Fanciful Stencils starter kit box.  First though, I cut my blue  colored cardstock into a card and lightly sprayed with Huckleberry GM, just to soften the bright cardstock. I cut down the sheet music to fit the card, but before I adhered it to the cardstock, I “stamped” the FDL Glimmer Screen onto the side using  a combination of Riptide and Huckleberry. It is OK to go off the page when using the Screens! These Screens are detailed enough that you can still get a beautiful pattern. Once dry, I trimmed with Stickles. I love how Stickles accent the shimmer of Glimmer Mist. I added the message, and adhered the card front to the cardstock.  Quick and simple.  Love those Glimmer Screens!!!

Some inspiration to kick start your weekend…

I recently had the privilege of teaching aboard Crop and Cruise, of which Tattered Angels generously sponsored my Technique Treasure class. Participants had the opportunity to learn some FABULOUS tips and tricks for using Glimmer Mist. Well, using some of those tips and tricks and the beautiful new screens and stamps, I created this layout to showcase a couple of photos from that trip:) It was a very quick and simple scrapbook pages that were fun to create!

I also created this greeting card for my husbands 40th birthday that I thought would be great to share with you today too. Especially seeing as March is nearly over and we designers here at Tattered Angels had a great time working alongside Crafty Secrets and using their products in conjunction with Tattered Angels. This card was created by using the iron gate screen on a coaster and spritzing it with Graphite Glimmer Mist. The vintage image is from Crafty Secrets Journalling notes and images booklet and worked great on the front of this card. I added a touch of lace, some black crystals and a flower and VOILA… a quick and simple card full of charm sure to make your special loved one smile… it did mine!

Have a great weekend and happy crafting:)

Go Green with Glimmer Mist

Happy St. Patricks Day to you all!  Green isn’t just for St. Patricks Day.  You can be green all year long by recycling and re-using things, especially the gorgeous packaging that your Tattered Angels products come in.  Here are a few ideas:  Make your empty Glimmer Chips box to make a photo frame.  Clean out an empty Glimmer Mist bottle, decorate it and put your favorite body spray into it.  Use the cardboard box that your Glimmer kit comes in and the beautiful box from your Glimmer Screens to create an elegant keepsake box.  These are just a few ideas to go “green” with Tattered Angels.  Oh, and while your here, be sure to check out all of the beautiful colors of green Glimmer Mist in the shop.  Have a lucky day!

Winter CHA Garden Journal Class

First, I want to thank everyone who attended our class at CHA. We so enjoyed showing all of you our new products and Glimmer Mist techniques. All of your albums turned out just gorgeous, but for those of you who want to see how we decorated the inside of ours, here are the pics.

Family Tree Layout

Here is a layout I created using the new Tree Screen and Tree Stamp as well as the new Regal Framed fonts(for the frames on the tree without the letters).  I just love the versatility of the tree images.  You can use them as they are, or you can stamp multiple images as I did here to create a larger image.  I drew the tree trunk and cut it out of cream cardstock.  Then I sprayed it with Tattered Leather Glimmer mist and crumpled it up while it was still wet.  Then I smoothed it out, dried it and adhered it over the page with the leaves.  For the fence I used the fence Glimmer Screen and inked it with black pigment ink.  Then I turned it over on my page and rubbed over the screen with a popsicle stick to transfer the ink to the page.  I’ve been a busy girl, so I will have more projects for you tomorrow!
