Summer Lovin’
Hello everyone! My projects today definitely remind me of summer with the dragonfly, flowers, butterfly and the fresh pastel colors of the Glimmer Mists that I used. Put them all together with some pretty Pink Paislee products and summer is in the air.
First up is a 12×12 layout that I created with the Pink Paislee 365 Degrees papers.
How I love red and pale blue colors together! I misted the Tattered Angels Chipboard flourish piece with “Sea Glass” Glimmer Mist. The alphabets from the “Framed Font’s” were misted with “Coffee Shop” mist.
The “Key Lime” misted design was cut from a die cut paper and then I misted the back side of the paper which was white. The paper flower’s center was misted with “Lemon Zest” Glimmer Mist and the center of the round chipboard piece was stamped with an image from the “Tattered Traveler” Clear Stamp set.
Next I created a “Dream” sign… because summer should be full of dreaming.

Again, I used paper from the “365 Degrees” collection. The alphas were misted with “Sea Glass” Glimmer Mist. The base of the sign was misted with Suede, Sunflower, and Flower Power– just to give the paper an bit of an aged look. The leaves on the flower were misted with “Key Lime” then stamped with a portion of one of the Tattered Traveler Cleear Stamps. The flower which was originally white was misted with “Sea Glass” around the outside edges of the petals then the center was misted with “Flower Power”.
The Glimmer Glass butterfly was coated with a layer of clear glitter and the “Artisan Elements” from Pink Paislee were misted with “Suede” and “Sea Glass”. I also added some clear sequins to add a little more sparkle to the elements of the sign.

The tag above was made with a white with blue dots paper from Pink Paislee’s “Bayberry Cottage” collection as the base. The paper was misted with Key Lime, Lemon Grass, and Suede to change it’s color. Next I added one of the collection’s Punch Outs to the bottom of the tag.
II used an embossing medium and black embossing powder to stamp the Dragonfly image from the Tattered Angels “Nature Field Notes” set. The chipboard Frame was misted with “Juniper” and the roses were misted with “Cranberry Zing”. Both of those colors are perfect with the Bayberry Cottage papers– it’s like they were created to go together. The “happiness” tag is one of the Punch Outs from the collection.
Thanks for stopping by…..I hope that you are enjoying all of the pleasures that summer brings.

Flowers and butterflies
Hello!
Here is another post with My Little Shoebox and Tattered Angels pairing up. For all of my projects I used these Glimmer Mist colors: Antique Pink, Key Lime, Lemon Zest, Sunflower, and Tutti Frutti.
My first project is a metal container that you can hang on a door or wall. I used paper from the “All a Flutter” collection by My Little Shoebox to cover the container. So cute. Then I misted a Regal Chip Tile, added the cutouts from the All A Flutter paper, added a glittered up Regal Glimmer Glass corner and tied it up in some jute string. After I mounted the tile onto the container I used Tutu Pink “Glimmer Glam” on the Glimmer Glass butterfly. I also added some of the Glimmer Glam to the top section of the tile just for a bit more glitz.
My next project is an 8×10″ canvas piece. I painted the canvas with white paint that I added a little texture paste to.
Once dry I used Mod Podge to adhere the Tattered Angels gold foil tag to the canvas then laid down 2 different Glimmer Screens and misted over them using the colors mentioned above. I love how the Glimmer Mist darkens and highlights the cracks in the texture paste.
I then used Tattered Angels Clear stamps to add the words and flourish design. The flowers were cut out from an “All a Flutter” collection paper then added to the canvas with Mod Podge. The small leaves on the vine are also cut from the paper.
Glimmer Glass corners were added to the canvas along with a few buttons and clear sequins. Clear glitter accents the flower centers and Tutu Pink Glimmer Glam is on the petals of the largest flower.
Next up is a graduation card. For a girl, of course. ![]()
The red and blue patternd papers, butterfly, flowers, and “FLY” letters are all from “My Little Shoebox”.
The red paper is glittered up with Tutu Pink Glimmer Glam then the paper on top of that was misted with the colors mentioned above and then a flourish stamp. The blue cloud paper is stamped with black Staz On ink and a clear stamp from the Timeless Romance set. After layering on the butterfly, flowers, and fly word, I added a Frame from the Postage Stamp Framed Font set.
Thank you so much My Little Shoebox for the wonderful product and as always, Tattered Angels — you rock!

Tried and True
Hello everyone! This month as I worked with Tattered Angels and Prima Marketing products, I was once again assured that if you have Glimmer Mist, you have a great way to alter or make a project your own. Glimmer Mist rocks and is a wonderful staple to have in your art supplies. A tried and true element for creating.
My first project is super simple. I love that about it– that it is completely doable in a short time, yet can turn something ordinary into extraordinary.
I used Prima’s Madrigal Blossoms in white and Natural Canvas leaves to make this embellishment for clothing. I added color to the blossoms and leaves using Meadow Green, Denim Blue, Flower Power(peach), and Tutti Frutti(pink). Once they were dry, I hand sewed them onto a small piece of lightweight muslin so that I can pin it on to a plain t shirt or skirt.
My next project uses the Prima Canvas apron by Donna Downey. You’ve already seen some pretty awesome images of the altered aprons from other design team members this month. Here is mine…
The Prima laces were misted with Delphinium and Tiger Lily, the ric rac was misted with Tutti Frutti.
I masked off some paper circles, used the Blossoms screens and added embroidery stitches and buttons. The Lilliput Roses in Marshmallow color were misted 3 different colors; Tiger Lily, Tutti Frutti and Delphinium. The leaves were misted with Meadow Green. Again, I made the flowers removable (using velcro this time) so that the apron can be used and washed.
My last project is a 12×12 layout using Prima’s pretty Strawberry Kisses collection papers.
I used a Garden Glimmer Screen and Peppermint Stick Glimmer Mist to add the design to the background paper. I also spritzed on a little bit of Turquoise Blue to the background, along with using it on the ric rac. It matches the color in the paper perfectly!
The Lilliput Roses were misted with Peppermint Stick also. I stamped the swirls with one of the Regal Classic Accents then added clear glitter while the paint was wet. The small paper flowers are cut from one of the Strawberry Kisses papers–don’t they make a great accent to the page? I also added one to the center of one of the Lilliput Roses for added dimension and to tie them in to the page.
The chipboard butterfly is a Framed Font from Tattered Angels that I added clear glitter and distressing to.
Thank you so much Prima Marketing for the lovely products to use along with Tattered Angels amazing Glimmer Mists. Such a wonderful combination.
Happy creating!

A Glimmer Mist spring
It’s officially spring and I am so happy that it is showing it’s pretty little face here in MN. I noticed buds on a few bushes in the backyard just today, the sun felt so warm on my shoulders and face, and the air is fresh with the smell of my laundry hanging on the line. Wonderful, wonderful spring!
Glimmer Mist has helped me bring color into my spring days this week. Oh boy… have I been busy and am so excited to share my projects! As you have seen in the previous posts for March, Tattered Angels has paired up with Fancy Pants for the makings of some beautiful projects. I was given their “Delight” collection to work with.
My first project is a 12×12 layout– about spring of course (because I’m not the only one around here who has been anxiously awaiting spring!) Along with the Fancy Pants papers, I used Tattered Angels “Tattered Traveler” Framed Fonts pieces. I just cut off the top of the watch piece frame so that I had circles remaining. I then sprayed the pieces; one with Terra Cotta, another with Lemon Zest, and the smaller one with Electric Blue. I then used those pieces to highlight a portion of a Fancy Pants transparency in the orange one and my journaling in the yellow one. I also cut circles from the patterned paper and sprayed them the Mists listed above, applied Fancy Pants rub ons, then placed them on the page with pop dots.

.My next project is for Easter. Did you know that you can use Glimmer Mist on just about anything? Notice the Glimmer Mists in the project below, used on several different surfaces.
The metal bucket was sprayed with Terra Cotta, then quickly, using my heat tool it was dried so that there was some pooling of the mist along the edges and in the raised design on the bucket. I think that is gives the bucket a rusty look. Rusty with a glimmer, even better!
I also misted the artificial eggs with Terra Cotta, Vintage Pink, or Electric Blue Glimmer Mists. The secret here is to walk away…. what I mean is to very lightly, with one quick soft spritz–mist on a little Glimmer Mist. Then walk away and do something else for a few minutes while the mist dries. Can you use a heat tool? Yes, just be careful to not make your egg “boil”. I had that happen with my first egg because I wanted to see the results immediately. Guess it got a little too hot and a large spot literally looked like it was boiling. After that I decided it was best to keep busy doing something else in between coating the eggs. I did a light misting 2 times on each egg to add a nice smooth color, then for the last coat I sprayed it on heavily so that it formed some little pools or speckles. Isn’t that too cool? Ahhh…. Glimmer Mists…. what can’t you do with them?!?!
I also made some crepe paper flowers for my bucket and misted the edges with Viva Pink.
The gift tag was made from Fancy Pants paper and ribbon and a Tattered Angels chipboard font.
Next up is my very, very favorite project for the month! I have to mention how proud my husband is of me for this one, because I “recycled”. There isn’t a week that goes by when he doesn’t mention “making our carbon footprint smaller”. Not only did I do that with this project, but I also cleared out a spot in our attic. I used to sew a lot way back in the 80’s– back when it was actually cheaper to make something from fabric than it was to buy itpremade, so I had a box of old dress maker’s patterns just begging to be made into something fun.
This garland was made from the tissue paper pattern pieces to form the pom poms. My husband says they look like dried Hydrangea’s. And honestly, they would not be the same without the Glimmer Mists. Even if I made them from colored tissue paper, the effect would be slightly different. The mist colors used were Viva Pink, Turquoise Blue, and Key Lime Pie.
So add a little more color to your spring… make a layout unique, glimmerize your Easter celebration, or make an earth friendly garland or decoration. All it takes is a little Glimmer Mist!

Tattered Angels and Webster’s Pages
Hello-
As you’ve seen previously this month, Webster’s Pages is a wonderful companion to Tattered Angel’s products. Everything flows smoothly together.
First I created a 12×12 layout with an old photo of my dad and me. Webster’s Pages papers are perfect for nostalgic pages and the new Postcard Frame and chipboard pieces from Tattered Angels add the needed embellishments. The Postcard Frame is misted with Sea Glass Glimmer Mist. On the rose I used Viva Pink and Forest Green.
My next project is a spring cone that I made from a “Postcards From Paris” collection paper. It’s a simple and quick way to add new decor to your home and you can hang it almost anywhere. The “Carpe Diem” piece and the clay bird are sprayed with Electric Blue Glimmer Mist and the newspaper style rose was misted with Vintage Pink and Viva Pink.
Lastly I used a small version of a portfolio from 7 Gypsies. First I sanded the black portfolio then sprayed on Electric Blue Glimmer Mist and added some Suede at random over the top.
The inside is covered with Webster’s Pages paper. The center portion of the inside of the portfolio is a piece of art that I did to highlight a photo of my grandmother when she was young. I think that the portfolio’s would be great to have as a collection for several of my ancestors and they could hold basic information about each of them. The pom pom trim and the pretty laces used are also from Webster’s Pages and the stamping was done with Tattered Angel’s “Vintage Seasons” Clear stamps.
Thanks for stopping by!

Somebody pinch me!!!!
Because I think that I am dreaming as I work with the new Tattered Angels product. Seriously! I am actually posting this a little late in the day because I received a box of some new things and there were the lovliest creamy colored chipboard pieces in it so I just had to add them to my album.
I used the Garden Journal Album and do you see that pretty little rose on the front cover? Well, that is one of the new chipboard pieces. They have embossed areas on them that resist the Glimmer Mist, unless you pile it on like I tend to do and quick heat set it with a heat gun. I am in love……
The tree on the other side of the front cover is a raised image on the album. I just swiped over it lightly with a couple of inkpads then with an embossing inkpad and added a clear embossing powder.
All of the pages of my album include the use of Glimmer Screens and Screen Prints Stamps. I also added rub ons to each of the stamped images. The rub ons work great with the Tattered Angels designs and if you apply white rub ons before you spray on your Glimmer Mists they add a cool effect just like an embossing would. They actually resist the mist also, but take on a bit of the glimmer and sparkle that the mists create.
This album is a reminder of all of the spring rituals that we follow each year when the weather finally gets warm after winter.
See that bird? That’s another one of those awesome chipboard pieces. Another thing that you’ll notice about my album is that I misted patterned papers. Don’t be afraid to incorporate the pattern into the design of your page like I did with the berry sprigs on this paper.
The Glimmer Mist colors that I used in this album were; Lemon Zest, Coral Reef, Tuttie Frutti, Sunshine, Hula Hoop, and Electric Blue.
I also used brown acrylic paint mixed with a little glaze to stamp my images on some of the pages. Then I immediately sprinkles on some fine clear glitter. It adds sparkle to the stamped images and makes them stand out.
The heart is another one of those yummy new creamy embossed chipboard pieces. Don’t you want some?
Okay, I don’t even know at this point if I shared all of my images, but I’m sure that you’ve seen enough to want some of the new Glimmer Mist colors and products. Thanks for stopping by!

My Glimmer Kit
Hello! After a day of no internet access, I’m finally here. I may be brief because I’ve already tried one other time and lost everything. I’m not sure if it’s the snow storms that we are having here or what, but it can stop anytime!
My kit to use this month was the Nature Chip Tile Glimmer Kit. There are warm Glimmer Mists colors and pretty green and bronze accents in the kit.
I made a Chip Tile wall decor piece. The tiles are connected together with wire and sprayed with all of the Glimmer Mist colors included in the kit. First I used the Mustard Seed color, then laid on the leaf Glimmer Screen and sprayed over it with the Burnt Red mist. I spray my edges with Suede and then I like to drag the edges through the excess mist that is on my mat to highlight them. When the tles were dry I sanded them, then used a plastic cover that comes on the bottle of mist and also the bottom of a bottle to stamp circle images onto the tiles.
The Cocoa Glimmer Glass wings and bird were sparkled up a bit on the edges with an ultra fine glitter. The mirror glass piece was covered entirely with the glitter and I love how the detail on the piece still show through.
I also glittered up the Glimmer Screen and cut it in half and layered it over the masked area then layered on a couple of Glimmer Glass leaves from the kit.

Thanks for stopping by during this busy season. May you all have a wonderful holiday! Linda
Tattered Angels + Graphic 45 = Love
No kidding! I am in love with the pairing of these 2 product lines. I could have created a bunch more projects and not been bored a bit. The look is my favorite–vintagey and distressed.
My first project contains a new discovery… well for me anyway. I covered the Regal Alpha Framed Fonts with a thick layer of Mod Podge then applied some coarse silver glitter. Immediately after that step I sprayed on Olive Vine Glimmer Mist. I really didn’t know what was going to happen or if the Glimmer Mist would even take to the glitter, but I was thrilled to see the results. I couldn’t have come any closer to creating a glass glitter look if I had tried. It even has that tarnished look, like I had actually used real, old, tarnished, German Glass Glitter. To say that I am beside myself over this discovery is an understatement!
Many ideas to use this effect were swimming around in my head, so I made a mad dash for the craft store to find something else to glitter and glimmer.
I found some leaves that were already glittered up for Christmas, but I wanted that German Glass Glitter look, so I applied the same steps to them as I did the Regal alphas.
Just for the fun of it, I even tried another color on a bunch of artificial leaves. In the photo below, the top image is the original leaves, then the coarse silver glitter ones sprayed with Olive Vine, and the bottom ones were sprayed with Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist.
On the layout I first sprayed Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to get a splattered look onto the background paper. If you only push the spray nozzle down about half way, the mist will come out in bigger drops. Then I used several Graphic 45 “Domestic Goddess” papers, cut into strips to represent a quilted look, then added lots of stitching. The Domestic Goddess tag was cut from their “Farmers Market” paper then layered over the glittery leaves with pop dots.
I added a Regal Glimmer Glass crown that I painted black on the back side and sprayed Coffee Shop mist on the front. The eyelet trim was aged with Candle Light and Suede Glimmer Mists.
My next layout features the The Graphic 45 “Domestic Goddess” papers once again with a piece of their “Transatlantic” paper used as the background.
On the Regal Chip Tiles that I used as photo mats, I first used glitter glue to highlight some of the embossed images in the tiles. Once the glitter glue was dry I sprayed them with Candle Light and Suede mists. The glitter glues took on the golden glimmer of the Candle Light mist and is so much prettier with my layout colors than the original color.

The Regal Framed Fonts are sprayed with Seaglass Glimmer Mist then lightly with Suede to add some distressing. The outside frame and photo corners are sprayed with Peppermint Stick and then Tiger Lily to make them closer to the color of the red in the papers.
For my next project I used a Glimmer Screen from the Starter Kit, layed it on fabric then sprayed it with English Ivy.
I layered my fabric onto Graphic 45 “Your’s Truly” paper then added the embellishments. I did the faux German Glass Glitter effect on the Regal Frame as on my “Mom” layout above.
The “Savor the Journey” tag from the family Bingo Board set is sprayed with Marshmallow then Iridescent Gold.
.
And just because I had some over spray on the fabric that I used above, I decided to mist a little more and added it to this journal. The English Ivy was sprayed on the left side of the fabric first, then I laid down the Glimmer Screen from the Starter Kit and misted on Vintage Pink.
The journal was covered with Graphic 45 “Lady of the House” paper then Mod Podged to protect it from use. I did lots of hand stitching and some beading onto the fabric, misted a big flower with Vintage Pink and Pink Bubblegum, then added it to the the front of the journal. Now I can’t wait to fill up my journal!
Best wishes for a creative day,
Linda
