Timeless Romance
This month Tattered Angels is having an exchange with Webster’s Pages. Here is what I came up with!
When I started this first page, I really wanted to use the new embossed chipboard heart by Tattered Angels. So that was the basis for my inspiration on this page. I turned it over and misted over the backside of it onto white cardstock with Candlestick Glimmer Mist to form the hearts on the left, and then misted the front of the chipboard heart with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist. The same color was used on the chipboard swirl (Candlestick). I used Olive Vine on the chipboard leaves. I love how these are embossed with a resist!
These are pictures of my daughter when she was 2. She loved her little coupe car! I used Sweet As Cherry Pie-Set the Table paper and Mom’s Ingredients paper by Webster’s Pages.
Next up is a card made with Sweet As Cherry Pie-Little Nibbles paper and Postcards From Paris – La Boutique De Jardin paper by Webster’s. Again I used one of the Tattered Angels new embossed chipboard and sprayed it with Candy Apple Red. I should have sprayed the leaves first with green, but forgot, so I tried to spray the Olive Green over the top of the leaves/red and it turned out to be a maroon-ish color.
The stamps are from the new Timeless Romance Set by Tattered Angels. I curved the “Be My Valentine” stamp on the clear block, so that I could stamp around the circle. It worked out well!
My last project is another card with the Timeless Romance stamps. Can you tell these are my favorite? I stamped the heart onto white cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I sprayed a new Glimmer Mist called Silver Sugar over the top and wiped the embossed part with a paper towel. Then cut it out and added it to my card. The “love”, the line at the bottom and the XOXO circle are also part of this stamp set.
The papers I used here are Nature’s Storybook: Soar Blue Skies and Postcards from Paris: Belle Rose. You should definitely get this Timeless Romance stamp set by Tattered Angels! It can be used so many different ways. I wished I had more time to play with it when working on my projects…I had many more ideas.
Thanks so much for reading today. Hope you enjoyed these projects!

la Vie est Belle – claybord wall hanging
I have been having a blast with some of the new products from Tattered Angels. For today’s project, I used a Deep Cradle Claybord (Amspersand) as the base.
The finished piece is approx. 6″ x 6″.

I stamped the large heart and wings from the Timeless Romance stamp set in a Stazon ink onto the claybord. I then painted in the image with Cowboy Glimmer Glaze. It has a wonderful translucency that allows you to see the detail of the stamping, while adding gorgeous, quick-drying sheen to the project. I painted select detail areas, such as the center heart of the stamped image with Luscious Lavender and Tidepool Glimmer Glam.
Once that was dry I sprayed several colors of Glimmer Mist over the top, allowing them to blend together in the middle. The painted areas resist the Glimmer Mist, allowing their original colors to stay true.
I used Cowboy and Emerald Cove Glimmer Glaze to color the key element as well. From silver to this aged patina look:

I also used some Glimmer Glam on this project. I coated the Glimmer Glass flourish as well as the keyhole on the back side with Luscious Lavender Glimmer Glam. Look how they sparkle!

And for a final bit of glamour, I painted Luscious Lavender and Tidepool Glimmer Glam onto the white lace ribbon.

I titled the piece using Webster’s Pages for the sentiment, “la Vie est Belle” (life is beautiful).
All of these product together, create a wonderful, textural piece. Once completely dry, you can add more texture by scratching into the surface of the Claybord to expose the original white surface underneath.
Have fun and keep experimenting with all of the wonderful mixed media products now available to you from Tattered Angels!
And make sure to check out the Tattered Angels Educator blog. Today I’m posting a great organizational tool.

More Tattered Angels and Webster’s Pages Goodness
Hi Everyone! This is Susan and I’ve got quite a few Tattered Angels and Webster’s Pages projects to share with you today, using the new CHA releases of course!
First up, here’s a layout I created using the lovely new Timeless Romance collection and Webster’s Pages Sweet As Cherry Pie papers.

I misted directly onto the patterned paper, using the Timeless Romance heart glimmer screen with Rose Tea and Tutti Frutti. I then stamped the new postcard frame from the Timeless Romance clear stamps as a frame for my photo.

I’ve used the new Timeless Romance Calling Cards in the cluster to the right of the photo. I misted the entire card with Old Lace, then painted in the roses and leaves with Scarlet and Lime Twist.

The title alphas are from the new Postage Stamps Framed Fonts. I misted these with Iridiscent Gold to give them a glint of shimmer while retaining the original ivory shade, and outlined the alphas in Lime Twist.

Webster’s Pages papers are great for cutting out and here you can see the dimensionality I created with the lace and cut-outs.
Next up is this altered tag which I just completed yesterday and I love the shabby-chic feel of it. These Tailored Tags are new from Tattered Angels and their size is perfect for altering.

I misted the tag with Lemon Grass, Caribbean Blue, Burnt Red and Vintage Pink, then cut out the bird and leaves images from the very pretty Postcards from Paris paper.

I added a lace trim in ecru, a velvet green ribbon and a pleated brown satin ribbon to the tag, and set that off with a custom-coloured flower. I wanted the flower to match the tag perfectly, so I misted the originally-white flower in Moonlight.

To complete the tag, I added a Glimmer Glass dragonfly from the Nature collection as well as some lace trims and a pearl brad to the top of the tag.

I designed the tag with a pocket so you can slip in a little message or greeting into the pocket. Here, I’ve slipped in a Paper Tag from the new Rockin’ Renaissance collection.
The next few projects I created for CHA Winter. This next one is a shadow box I created using Webster’s Pages Postcards from Paris papers.

I misted the background cardstock in the new Hula Hoop and Water Slide shades, over a large grand-scale Glimmer Screen from the Garden Collection.

Here you can see the different layers I’ve created from the use of lace, cut-outs from the patterned paper and chipboard. The title “Winter Berry” sits on the new Postage Stamp Framed Font chipboard frame, which I misted with the new Dazzling Diamonds. I love this new mist. All the glimmer without the colour.
To complete the garden feel, I added in a glimmer glass bird and a glimmer glass flourish corner.

Here’s the project from another angle so you can see the shadow box effect.
A romantic card next, with flowers, sheer ribbons, lace and Magical Wishes paper from Webster’s Pages.

The lock and key are a Glimmer Chip and Glimmer Glass from the Regal collection. I misted the lock chip in Flower Power and Vintage Pink, allowing the raised embossed details to show through, which I then highlighted with some stickles.

I wanted the flower to stand out so opted to keep it in its original ivory shade, but liberally misted with Dazzling Diamonds and Iridescent Gold so the glimmer would catch the sunlight.
Finally, here’s an altered canvas I created using the new Seaside Collection and Graphic 45’s new On The Boardwalk papers.

Glimmer Mists work really well on canvas. I misted the canvas in Caribbean Blue and Sunshine over the new On The Beach Glimmer Screen.

And one of my favourite mists this season – Dazzling Diamonds on the Prima flower and Dazzling Diamonds and Bubbles on the Seaside glimmer chip shell.

I misted this chipboard heart with Candy Apple Red and crackle glazed it. The patterned paper’s from Graphic 45’s new On The Boardwalk collection. Love the vintage images.

This seahorse glimmer glass is part of the new Sea Glass collection. I also dabbed on some of the new Glimmer Glaze in Emerald Cove on the top left corner with a paint brush. I used the new Crushed Shells glimmer mist on the manila tag, misting over another new glimmer screen from the Under The Sea collection.

Jon the rest of the design team for all of February as we show you more of what we’ve created using the brand new Tattered Angels releases, as well as Webster’s Pages.
Have a great week!

Funky Frosty Glimmer Glass Album
One of my friends just had her winter birthday. I know her taste is sometimes funky and I also know that she being a Mom to a little one year old boy and is working so she has not much time to do something for herself. So I had the idea of giving her a small funky journal in which she could write her thoughts and so spent some “me”-time. The Frosty Memories Window Album was just perfect to work with!
I used the Rose Moka Grunge Papers which are a perfect fit for the Glimmer Mists and Tattered Angels Stamps. On the left side I attached the paper and sprayed and stamped and the right side I usually used the Journaling stamp from the Notes from the Garden Stampset.
Supplies: Tattered Angels: Frosty Memories Window Album, Notes from the Garden Stampset, Glimmer Mist, Nature Field Notes Stampset, Nature In Flight Stampset, Nature Graceful Journey Stampset, Tattered Traveler Compass Stampset, Regal Alpha Framed Fonts, Nature Butterfly Framed Fonts, Frosty Memories Glimmer Glass, Elegant Emblems Glimmer Screens.
And as an extra I created a gift tag
I used some Ranger Crackle Glossy Accents on the embossed parts of the Chip Tile – I love the effect.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
Nathalie
Sneak Peek
We interrupt all of these lovely albums for a Tattered Angels Sneak Peek! So many new goodies to show in this little project.

First, wouldn’t we all enjoy stamps that fit into the Framed Fonts pocket watch? Well, look out for them in the Time Traveler stamp set!

Isn’t this little car cute??? I know I’ll be stamping this one a bunch!!!! Looks great against the Suede Glimmer Mist.

How about some Vintage Hardware???

And finally, did you notice the big patterned tag that I layered all of this yumminess on? Look out for Tailored Tags-a wonderful canvas for Glimmer Glaze and Glam!
More to come!

Butterflies and Babies…
Hello everyone! I’m excited to be with you today as I have a special project to share with you…one using the Nature Glimmer Glass Window Album. Mini albums are right up there at the top of my most favorite things to create….something about their small, compact nature and the way they look filled to the brim and ready to pop that make me love them so.

I sat creating this with my little one right by me coaching me along…this is just for her. She has always been a great little journal-keeper….since she was tiny, I’d give her a place to record her drawings, her ABC’s…anything her heart desired. Now looking back we have a couple of journals filled with her creations and it is fun to look at how she has grown in her education and learning…she now fills her diary with songs, stories, letters, what she is learning at school, etc. So, I thought it was time to let her write her own story….I want to hear in her own words what she remembers and knows about her sweet life this far.
I matted the window with cream tulle to create a touch of softness before painting and then adhering the Glimmer Glass butterfly in the opening. Then added a painted and glittered Glimmer Glass butterfly included in the kit on top of the window and added dimension by bending up the wings and finished it off by adding a flower and button.

The Creme de Rouge Regal Glimmer Chips added perfect touches throughout the album. Here I’ve distressed and glittered the large frame from this set to create the title page for the album.
I think our story is worth telling….of course it is my favorite of all time. It was important to give her areas to include her journaling, so I attached notebook pages taken from a Melissa Frances die cut notebook…they look so beautiful paired with the Tattered Angels products.

I used my favorite Decorative Corner Glimmer Screens with coordinating Regal Classic Accent stamp.

The Glimmer Chips are so fun to use as accents and to also help create little mini focal points such as this photo corner that I used to create the roof of a house.
Lastly, adding a bit of shimmer to the butterflies on the tabs added to the sweet, baby theme and was such a fun way to finish off the page.
The Glimmer Mist colors I used throughout are some of my very most favorite shabby picks…they include Rose Tea, Creme de Cocoa, and Patina.
I love adding trim and ribbon along the edges of my pages…it’s a fun way to bring these elements in and add to the sweet, feminine feel of the album.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

My heart adores…
Hello! Danielle here! This month we were to work on a mini album that we received; mine is the Glimmer Glass Window Album – Nature. I had SO much fun making this! First, let me explain the process a little bit as to how I do a mini album.
I try to come up with a theme for my book before I start, and I found this rub-on that I had in my stash that said, “my heart adores you”. So from there, I wanted to make a mini album about my daughter Kati.
Next, I decided to make EACH page one thing that I love about her.
I also wanted to keep the colors similar throughout the album, so I chose to go with reds, blues and yellows, and then added in tan, gray and black as neutrals to soften it.
Here are more pics of the cover. The clear butterflies come with the mini album!

**If you’d like more info about the white script paper I made on the cover, I posted a tutorial while back on paper casting and how to; you can see it here.**
Now when I started, I decided to keep the left side of the pages as the “attribute” that I love about her along with the journaling, and the right side pages would be a misted butterfly and a photo. This will keep it cohesive throughout the album.
Kati is so gentle with such a sweet soul. I’ve never met anyone quite as soft and tender as she! She’s also very sensitive like I am. This is her with the little baby that I watch a couple of days a week, Ava.
Tip: stamp onto a transparency and cut out/adhere to allow your butterflies to hang off the page!

The butterfly below was misted with Graphite Glimmer Mist. I had a bit of red mixed in on accident, because I was sampling the colors on scratch paper and didn’t wash the stencil off, but I kinda like it. Another tip: Do the stenciling on separate piece of paper and then cut it out and add it into your mini book wherever you’d like. This way if you mess up, your mini album isn’t ruined.
She’s kind, caring and is always thinking about what everyone needs. It’s funny to see that even at age 4, she takes care of the people around her. Last night I said I was cold, and she ran upstairs to get my robe for me (even though she’s usually afraid of the dark) – she loves to please!

This butterfly is misted with Red Velvet Glimmer Mist.
If she sees me upset, she does this thing….I love. She cups her hands in the shape of a heart and tells me, “I love ya, bebe” just like that, all perky and cute to try and make me smile. It works every time.

The blue/yellow butterfly below is misted with Jazz Blue and Lemon Zest. I’m getting braver and starting to blend colors!
On the last page, I painted around a square of paper and added some journaling over the paint. The chipboard butterflies were misted over with Graphite Glimmer Mist and then I journaled inside of the negative space. Lastly, I stamped more Tattered Angels’ butterflies over the top.

The album/stamps/chipboard/stencils are all by Tattered Angels. If you have any questions on the other supplies, please let me know! I want to add more pages to my book, but I have a good start. I think on the back of the book, I’m going to stamp a list of all her attributes.
Thanks for reading!
Danielle
Fun with the Garden Journal Album
Happy New Year everyone!
All this month, the designers will be showing off what you can create with the Tattered Angels albums. I got to play with the Garden Journal Album, which is so pretty with the embossed image of a tree on the cover and glimmer glass gate.
For the cover, I decided to create an image of a sunrise in the park, inspired by a photograph I saw of a sunrise.

I inked the tree in different shades of green, then misted the entire cover in shades of Sunflower and Peach Delight for the sunrise, and shades of Juneberry Wine and Fully Purple for the dawn sky. I love how the glimmer mists shimmer in the sunlight, giving off glints of gold wherever they catch the light.

This mini album is about our recent holiday to New York and the cover reminds me of Central Park, aptly.
The cover opens up to reveal a gatefold.

I carefully misted the butterfly screen onto the two gatefold pages, taking care so that when the two pages were closed, the butterfly image would line up perfectly. I used Cranberry Zing and English Ivy on these pages. My title sits on a Framed Font chipboard lightly inked in lilac and adorned with matching hyacinths.
If you open up the gatefolds, you will see that I continued the butterfly screen misting across the right and left pages too. Here you see what the right page looks like when it’s opened up:

And this is how the album looks with the gatefold open and the centre page showing through.

On this page, I misted the page with the same shades as the gatefold pages so that all three pages flowed right across. I continued the butterfly theme with punched out butterflies flitting across my mini layout, complemented by patterned paper in the same green and purple hues and a touch of pretty lace.
For the next page, I played with the compass glimmer screen and misted the page in Peach Delight and Pashmina, picking up the hues from the photograph of us in Times Square. And it being Times Square, I stamped an image of a clockface right onto the compass. The stamp and the glimmer screen lined up perfectly, as all coordinated glimmer screens and stamps will.

This next photo has a Christmas-sy feel about it so I selected glimmer mists in red (Peppermint Stick) and green (Forest Green) to give it that festive feel. I carelessly misted the red mist here, there and everywhere, then filled in the rest of the page with green. To add to the holiday cheer, I outlined the glimmer screen image with stickles in a cheery Christmas red. I kept the page simple, with just a little embellishment in the corner.

So those were some pages from my Garden Journal Album. I hope you liked the album because I had a lot of fun creating it.
Have a great week ahead!

Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels Love…
Hi! Patty here with my first post on the Tattered Angels blog and it’s the last post of our month of Graphic 45 collaboration. To be honest when I got the papers in the mail, I thought this would be a challenge because it didn’t look like paper I would normally select to work with; but as it turned out - I really loved these papers! The colors and patterns work so nicely together and they look great with kraft paper; which is one of my favs! So, let me show you what I made…
When I saw the Transatlantique Collection, it reminded me of a vintage suitcase covered in stickers from around the world – and then I thought about my own travels and the little foreign coin collection I’ve gathered over the years. So, I thought it would be nice to alter some type of container to make a home for these coins. When I went to the craft store I found a tiny balsa wood suitcase – it was perfect! I removed all of the hardware and then I sprayed the whole thing with glimmer mist. I used Coffee Shop and Graphite on the outside and Sapphire on the interior. I cut out bits and pieces from the Graphic 45 papers and glued them to the outside of the suitcase, then I coated the exterior with Mod Podge. I reattached all of the hardware and embellished the top with chipboard letters (framed fonts from the Nature and Traveler collections), letter stickers and a coin. As a little added touch, using large 3-D dots I adhered two chipboard photo corners (from Regal glimmer chips) to the underside of the top. These created a holder for a glimmer chip magnifying glass (from Nature glimmer chips). I’m still looking for an actual small magnifying glass that I will attach to this glimmer chip so it can be a functional addition to the box.

Next I made a few cards. The all use papers from Graphic 45 Transatlantique Collection. On the first two I used the Graceful Journey Screen Prints and Glimmer Screens. I love the butterfly in this set, it’s the perfect size for cards. The brown glimmer mist is Coffee Shop and the green is Forest Green. I added a few simple embellishments: decorative pins, gems and letter stickers.

On the next card, I used the butterfly embossed glimmer chip (from the Nature set). I sprayed it with Suede glimmer mist and sanded it to reveal some of the white chipboard.

On this last card, I used a glimmer screen from the Garden Blossom set. I sprayed it with Meadow Green glimmer mist and used it like a stamp to make a background for the flowers that I puched-out of the patterneded paper. Then I just added a few gems, ribbon and letter stickers.

Well, that’s it for me today. I hope you enjoyed and were inspired by the past month of Graphics 45 and Tattered Angels love. Next month’s focus is on Glimmer Kits! These are kits that include a variety of Tattered Angels products – making it easy for you to just open the box and start creating! There are even some inspiration images included with the kits to get you going. So be sure to check back throughout next month and see how much goodness you can get out of Glimmer Kits!
Take care – Patty
A Graphic Glimmer Experience
I can’t tell you how much fun I had to work with all the yummie Tattered Angels Products and the amazing Graphic 45 Papers.
The Transatlantique Collection by Graphic 45 just gave me the kick to start with my travel album about my recent trip to the States where I have been seeing a lot of stunning Nationalparks and Cities.
*Travel*
Supplies: Tattered Angels – Glimmer Mist: Red Velvet, Misty Breeze, Arctic Blue – Framed Fonts Regal Embossed – Glimmer Screens: Tattered Traveler – Clear Stamps: Compass - Bingo Boards and Calling Cards: Travel ; Graphic45: Transatlantique Collection – Pack Your Bags, Bon Voyage, Transatlantique Tags
I sprayed the Map Paper with Glimmer Mist and rolled a Brayer over it. I also sprayed with Glimmer Mist over white Cardstock and the Compass Screen. After it dried a stamped with the Compass Stamp on top and cut the image out. I sprayed with different Glimmer Mist over the Chipboard letters and as I wanted the color really saturated I didn’t blot it off but simply heat dried it.
*Road Trip*

Supplies: Tattered Angels: Glimmer Screen Tattered Traveler, Tattered Traveler Clock, Framed Fonts Regal Embossed – Graphic45: Transatlantique Collection Traveloque, All Aboard, Paris Post
I used chalk over the Glimmer Screen and then stamped with the clock above it.
The Christmas Paper we got totally set me into holiday mood and I created the following Layout:
*Joy*

Supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Candlelight, Cranberry Zing; Framed Fonts Regal Embossed, Notes From the Garden Stamps – Graphic45: Christmas Collection Deck the Halls, Letters to Santa, We wish you a merry Christmas
I painted part of the paper with acrylic paint, I sprayed some Candlelight Glimmer Mist on top of a teflon sheet and used it with part of the Notes From The Garden Stamp and blotted the access off. I used Cranberry Zing Glimmer mit with the Framed Fonts and stamped the journaling stamp from the Notes From the Garden Set on top of some paper which I attached behind one of the Embossed Frames.
And then I created those Christmas Ornaments:

Supplies: Tattered Angels – Glimmer Mist Juniper, Misty Breeze, Irisdescent Gold, Graphite, Denim Blue, Turquoise Blue; Chip Tiles Regal Embossed; Framed Fonts Regal Embossed; Glimmer Glass Frosty Memories, Clear Stamps Nature Field Notes
Graphic 45: Ode to Joy Paper, Ranger Liquid Pearls and Inks, Adorondack Dimensional Pearls, Martha Stewart Glitter, 3L Adhesive, Ribbon unknown, My Little Shoebox Letter Stickers
I sprayed with different blue colored Glimmer Mists on top of the Chip Tiles as well as on the Frames. On the second ornament I stamped with the swirl stamp from the Field Notes Set. I used eggshell white Acrylic Paint behind the Glimmer Glass Icing and pressed it while still wet on top of the Chip Tile as the paint works as a great glue. I used Dimensional Pearls inside the second Frame and dipped little dots on the embossed dot parts of the Chipboard Tiles and Frames.
I hope those layouts, projects and technics inspire you- have a wonderful and gorgeous day!
