Sunday Inspiration

Hi! Hope you’re having a great weekend.  I’ve been busy creating a few things to share with you. As you know, we’ve been having a Blog Relay with Graphic 45. I created a couple of projects using the Domestic Godess line.

This first one is a layout using an old photo I found of the mall in my hometown. I was flooded with memories when I saw it and knew I had to scrap them. I used one of the Garden Glimmer Screens and spritzed the paper with English Ivy to create a subtle pattern. Mall memories1

I used the Glimmer Glass snowflakes and created a funky flower by ading a punched paper flower and some stitching. I wanted to go for the 1970s look.

My next project uses some Graphic 45 papers along with embossed cardstock. I spritzed both the card stock and the Glimmer Chip with Bronze Glimmer Mist. It gives it such a great shine!

My final project is a Christmas shadow box. This one has lots of Glimmer Chips.

I used an Embossed Swirl, that I sprayed with English Ivy and coated with glitter, to serve as a branch for the ornaments that I created.

These were made with the Tattered Traveler Pocket Watch framed fonts. I sprayed them with Vintage Pink and Peppermint Stick, then coated them with glitter. I added some Glimmer Glass snowflakes that were spritzed with English Ivy and melted a bit with a heat gun. This enabled me to shape them before I added them to the ornament.

The paper on the inside was also spritzed with Irridescent Gold to give it even more shimmer and shine.

So, that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend! ~ Anabelle

Loving the summer releases!

All of the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists are pretty spectacular but can I tell you how I excited I was when I opened by box of design goodies prior to CHA to find black (”Cinder”) and white (”Marshmallow”) Glimmer Mists?! Oh yes… it is true… and they are aooooooooo FABULOUS to work with!!!!

Using the new Chip TIles, I created this fun little notebook. The 4X7 tiles are perfect to alter using Glimmer Mist and whatever else suits your fancy.

I have a sweet spot for the fleur de lis pattern in this Chip Tile so I decided to use it for my cover. After spraying with Creme de Rouge Glimmer Mist, I used a Gun Metal rub to enhance the intricate pattern.

img_0419As I mentioned, I LOVE the “Cinder” Glimmer Mist. When sprayed on the Glimmer Chips or Glimmer Alphas (as shown above), it is a TRUE black. Saturate the piece and let it soak in and the results are GREAT! I also added some Glossy Accents to the letters here to really make the letters pop. On the Fleur di Lis Glimmer Chip, I added the Cinder Glimmer Mist and then Crackle Accents. When it dries, it cracks… totally cool effect!

On the back cover of the book, I used Cinder Glimmer Mist over the entire piece. I used a White Staz-On ink pad to highlight the embossed portions (beware… your Staz On pad MAY pick up the colour and Glimmer from the Cinder so do so ONLY at your own risk:). I also used the White Staz-On (minimal amount on the stamp)with the new Garden- Notes Stamps.

I cannot show you the inside pages as this will run as a class this fall but know they are just as fun as the covers!). I should also mention that the Bind-It-All pinched through the chip Tiles beautifully allowing yo a plethora of options for creating your own little book:)

Now it is time to experiment with the Marshmallow (white) Glimmer Mist. This time I used a heavy weight piece of black chipboard that had been cut with a die cut machine for my background. First, I laid out my Garden`Note Glimmer Screen (this beauty is HUGE! It easily covered thebottom half of my project allowing for ease in the spritzing department).

A light mist is all that was necessary to create this lovely design on the background.

I used the co-ordinating stamps from the Garden-Notes Collection to stamp with white Staz-on in the opposite corner. Aside from inking the edges, I left the Bingo and Calling Cards in their natural state. The Glimmer Chips from the Regal Collection (shown in the above photo) were also only inked to highlight the raised portions. I then carefully traced the pattern with Glossy Accents and it turned out pretty cool!

img_0520On the fleurish, I sprayed with the Cinder Glimmer Mist, applied Glossy Accents and then randomly sprinkled some black glitter.

img_0518The Glimmer Alphas (shown in the above pic) were inked first and then had Glossy Accents and some glitter again for another look. I love the versatility of the Tattered Angels Embossed Chipboard Elements as their are so many options for customizing them to suit your needs!

img_4548The last little picture I will leave you with today is a sneak peek from a FUN class I am going to be teaching using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Chips and Screens to complete this lovely canvas wall hanging! So many fun techniques will be covered in this class and others like it! Tattered Angels has designers and educators around the globe able to share classes with you. My projects shown here will be offered this fall and I would love to see you in my upcoming classes! For a list of dates and locations… see our Educator Calander on here:) Visit my blog for more info on my Tattered Angels Classes!

Happy Scrapping!

This is a 8×8 cardboard piece that I created using the brand new Family Bingo Boards set. I added some Botanica Bella Graphic 45 and some lace and chain to give this project a vintage feel. I used Sundflower, Jack O’ Lantern and Tattered Leather on the cardboard. I then used some SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L Adhesive sheets and some gold foil to add a little golden touch. the frame was created using fome sequin fabric and a paper towel that had been misted with Tattered Leather. I just love the feel of this page, it is so warm and I just love the texture to it.

"I Pick You" Garden Lattice Greeting Card- Inside

(inside shot)

So here is a Greeting Card thatI created using the brand New Garden Lattice 11×9 clear stamps that Tattered Angels will be releasing this CHA. This stamp is GORGEOUS! and of course it perfectly coordinates with the Garden Lattice Screens so you can create our Screen Print effect. For this card I stamped the Garden Lattice stamp on Graphic 45 paper and folded it over and cut out a portion of the pront. I then layered masking tape that had been misted with Glimmer Mist, some fabric and some wonderful Times Nouveau Graphic 45 paper. I played off of the cherries on the paper and title the card, “I Pick You”. The brackets were created but cutting up one of the Tattered Angels Framed Font Alpha chips (regal). The inside is teh journal stamp that is included with the Garden Lattice Stamp set that I sewed and decorated with buttons and sequin.

I hope you enjoy the new product that Tattered Angels is releasing there are so many new items, I am sure you will fall in love with them all!
