Sew Nice
Tattered Angels is “sew” nice when paired with Crafty Secrets and Websters Pages. This month I focused on creating some “sew” special cards and wall hanging.
For this card, I spritz Electric Blue and Crushed Shell Glimmer Mist on the background pattern paper, then stamped Tattered Traveler Clock to add more texture. For the Repairs and Alterations Tag, I used an all over glimmer with the Iridescent Gold to make it really shine. For the lace piece I dyed it with the Crushed Shells Glimmer Mist to give it an antique feel. For the Crown Glimmer Chip I layered Crushed Shells and Electric Blue Glimmer Mist.

For this card, I spritzed Crushed Shells Glimmer Mist all over the background card stock and then used the Swirls Glimmer Screen from the Fanciful Stencils and misted Olive Vine and Electric Blue Glimmer Mist. Spritzing the Swirls Glimmer Screen with Electric Blue and stamping with it. I then layered Crushed Shells and Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to the Glimmer Chip Frame. I then stamped the images and added an all over glimmer with the Iridescent Gold. For the Post Glimmer Glass, I inked up the back with brown ink and added glitter to the back – heating up the image to make it more dimensional.

For my Life “Sew” Nice background I used the a combination of Crushed Shells and Electric Blue Glimmer Mist and using the Swirl Glimmer Screen from the Fanciful Stencils. For all the images I spritzed Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist all over. I used the Life Bingo Card from the Time Traveler Bingo Cards and combined both Crushed Shells, Olive Vine Glimmer Mist and the Swirl Stencil. For the Glimmer Chip Frame, Swirl Photo Edge, and Swirl Accent Piece, I did a combination of Electric Blue, Crushed Shells and Olive Vine Glimmer Mist. Then I painted on the Electric Blue Glimmer Mist onto the roses on the cameo. For the Postcard Glimmer Glass I again inked up the back with brown ink and added glitter – then heated up the Glimmer Glass and shaped it to make it more dimensional.
Have a “Sew” great day!

August Creations from Sue
Hi there! This is Sue from Singapore and here are some of my projects this month.
First up, I created a layout with lots of texture and dimension.

I customized my own background by misting a white cardstock with Patina glimmer mist over a glimmer screen. To add more definition to the misted area, I stamped it using a coordinating stamp from the Tattered Traveller collection.

I added a hot air balloon from the Clear Destination collection of Glimmer Glass to match the hot air balloons from the patterned paper. The title work alpha is from the Framed Fonts chips, which I misted in Dazzling Diamonds.

My next project is an altered canvas. I created my own misted background, using a mix of rich reds and browns over a glimmer screen.

I used glimmer mists in Chocolate Covered Cherries, Burnt Red and Red Velvet. I then embellished the canvas further with a Rockin’ Royalty Foil Chip and a Glimmer Glass from the Seaside collection.

Finally, here’s another layout which i really like.

I stamped the beautifully-detailed butterfly from the Nature in Flight collection in a pale sepia to complement the background patterned paper. I then embellished the layout with a butterfly and bird using Glimmer Chips and Glimmer Glass in cocoa, nestled among the flora and fauna.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great scrappy week ahead.

Growing Some Glimmer
For the first time we planted a garden this year. We just kept it simple. Some tomatoes, zucchini, onions and some corn. I am relishing in finding things that remind me of my garden. When I saw Crafty Secrets Garden Creative Scraps and Webster’s Pages Sweet as Cherry Pie, they reminded me of my time in the garden.
I transformed this tin bucket with a little help from Tattered Angels, Crafty Secrets and Webster’s Pages. I spritzed the blue gingham Pattern Paper all over with Patina Glimmer Mist to give a beautiful sheen.
I then used the Regal Classic Accents Stamp to stamp the swirl image and then heat emboss. Distress the embossing more as I scratched some of it off to give a worn look to it. I then spritzed the postcard from the Travel Bingo Boards and Calling Cards with Olive Vine and used the Garden Blossom Stencil and spritzed it with Coffee Shop. For each of the precious Crafty Secrets images I brayered the Iridescent Gold over them and then added more glitter to highlight the images. For the Glimmer Chip I layered Sunshine, Coffee Shop and topped it off with Sunshine Glimmer Mist again.

For my Grow Journal, I spritzed Webster’s Pages Pattern Paper with Sunshine and then used the Garden Blossom Stencils to mask and stamp with Olive Vine. I then used the Olive Vine Glimmer Mist and Garden Blossom Stencils to add interest to the burlap for the spine of the journal. I again used the Garden Blossom Stencil and Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to add deminision to the front of the journal. I added an all over Glimmer to the Gingham and Cherry Pattern Paper with Patina and painted on some Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist to the Cherries. For the butterfly Glimmer Chip, I layered Sunshine, Patina and Candy Apple Red and added more glitter to really make it stand out. For the Grow I combined Olive Vine and Sunshine Glimmer Mist.
I spritzed the manila tag with Sunshine and Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist to give it an old grungy sort of feel. I added Iridescent Gold to the images and then topped them with more glitter to make the flowers pop. Everyone loves glitter don’t they? For the precious little Glimmer Glass bird I combined a red glitter and a iridescent glitter. For the sweet Postage Stamp Frame Fonts I layered Sunshine, Coffee Shop and more Sunshine.
Wishing you a creative day.

Sue’s July Projects
Hi from Singapore! I’m back to share some of my latest Tattered Angels projects.
Here’s the first one:

I created my own background design for this layout by misting some white cardstock. I laid out two butterfly glimmer screens over the white cardstock, then picking up the colours from the patterned paper, I misted the cardstock in shades of brown, orange and pink. The mists I used were Tattered Leather, Tutti Frutti, Peach Delight and Flower Power.
Here’s what the misted cardstock looked like:

And the completed layout:

As always, lots of inking, distressing, handcut details and layers on my layout.
And my favourite turn-to Tattered Angels embellishment – a chipboard butterfly from the Framed Font collection. lightly misted in Tattered Rose and inked in orange.

Next up, a layout using lots of Tattered Angels embellishments.

I used the Va Va Victorian Irresistable Chips on the layout. I really like that they’re resist-embossed so all you need to do is to mist directly onto the chip and the embossed areas will resist the mist, creating perfectly misted details every time.
Here’s a close-up:

I misted the Victorian chip rose with Apple Candy Red and the leaves with my favourite Olive Vine. I laid the the chip over Regal Glimmer Glass in cocoa. The alpha chipboards are from the Regal Framed Font collection. I liked how the original cream of the alpha chips looked against my layout and decided to keep the shade, but added some glimmer by misting it with Dazzling Diamonds.
I used more Victorian chip leaves and Glimmer Glass here. I like how the chip leaves work so well with the Prima flowers.

I layered lots of lace, trims and Websters Pages bloomers on this layout, which has portions of the cut out patterned paper raised up for a 3D finish. Some pearl flourishes complete the layout.

Finally, I have a card for you:

A romantic pastel card using stamps from the Timeless Romance collection, and a Regal Framed Font chip which I misted in Tattered Rose to complement the patterned paper.
I hope you liked my projects this month. I know I had lots of fun creating them. Check back here for more inspiration from the rest of the Tattered Angels Design Team all July.
Happy Scrapping!

Fun in the Sun
With warmer days, flowers blooming and Spring all around I love to capture my memories of fun in th sun with bright cherry colors. For this project I used All Aflutter My Little Shoebox line of papers. I spritzed the background paper with Lemon Zest Glimmer Mist to give an all over shine.
Then used the Butterfly Glimmer Screen Screen and misted lightly with Tuttie Fruiti. I misted Sweet Clover on the green pattern paper. Then then added Dazzling Diamonds and brayered them on all the accent flowers and journaling flower.
These bright, fun papers really captured my niece’s sunny personality.
For my next layout, I used Nathalie Kolbachi’s EMotions line of papers. These were so fun to play with and as soon as I saw the sun pattern paper, I just knew the memory that I wanted to capture of a special day, filled with sun and lots of fun…
I generously spritzed Lemon Zest on for the background, then I used Glimmer Glam Paprika for the Glimmer Chip. I just loved the glimmer flecks in this product. I then added the Beach Bingo Card and Glimmer Glass which I added the Glimmer Glam Paprika and let dry.
A wonderul moment between our kids caught in film.
Birds and nests bring back such sweet memories of days gone by. I used the beautiful vintage inspired papers by Webster’s Pages.
I misted Sunflower Glimmer Mist over the entire card and the Postcard Stamp Framed Fonts and ink it up. I then add brown glitter to the Glimmer Glas shapes to finish.
Wishing you a wonderful Spring filled with many fun and sunny memories.

Tattered Angels and Webster Pages
Hello everyone! Can you believe it is already February? :) This month the design team will be showcasing many new Tattered Angels products. We will also be working with Webster Pages. The two go together beautifully!
Here are some projects I made:

I just love the new frame glimmer screens, which I used on the layout above and the another one I will share with you. You can view these and all the rest of the new products in the new catalog!

Love love love the new large Tattered Tags…how fun are they? You could easily use them as a mini album type project. Here I used three of them on my layout. And notice that border…it is the heart stamp stamped over and over again to create a scalloped border.

That background is one piece of a mini album from Clear Scraps. Did you notice the key? That’s just another fantastic product from Tattered Angels.
And I thought I would also share this layout with you, it is one I made for CHA:

Lots of new goodies from the Tattered Traveler line. :)
Well I hope you have a fantastic day! Thanks for stopping by!
