A little Bit of this and a little Bit of that
And a little bit of Rock’n Roll
Yep – I’m in a good mood- I mean it is summer …so how could I not
Even with lot’s of work and projects Summer seems for me the time to refuel and get a lot of inspiration for the next few months. All the sunny days and even nights outside, the parties and time with family and friends, the things you see traveling, bicycling or just doing something outside…it is the way to refuel before the days get shorter and and the time in the studio finally gets longer
And don’t get me wrong…looking forward to those days too.
BUT….still managed to create some things with the always inspiring products by Tattered Angels
– it’s doesn’t matter what time of the year it is – a little bit of this and a little bit of that…and there you have it…Rockn’ Roll – LOL
Fairy Land Tag

I love the Tailored Tags – so many possiblities to use them for fun projects, like book marks, gift tags, pages for mini albums – or just for a fun tag as I did here, using different Glimmer Mist Colors.

Another Project I did was this Punky Sprouts Album using lot’s of Tattered Angel’s Products like Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, Glimmer Chalkboard, Glimmer Glass , Clear Stamps, Glimmer Glaze,Glimmer Screens, Glimmer Chips etc. Combined with the wonderful Graphic 45 Papers it came out as a nice Beach Album …ehem …Down the Shore Album- for my NJ Sis in Law

For the clear pages I used some of the Beachthemed Tattered Chiptiles and Glimmer Glass and sprinkled some Glimmer Glam right onto the pages.

The Canvas pages were created this way: I sprayed the Canvas with a solid color that I wanted to look through the later used screens. Then I placed the Glimmer Screens onto the Canvas pages and then sprayed with different Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Chalkboard Colors – kind of working them together. Before lifting up the Screens I tapped the excess liquid off with a paper towel. Some of the images that I used the screens with are also later on stamped over to highlight the image even more.

oh yummie Glimmer Glam!!!

I really had an aweful lot of fun to create this album!
Wanna see more- LOL – I have more- here is an altered Shadow Frame I made for our upcoming anniversary and I used the beautiful beautiful new Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Fall Colors!!!! I love them soooo much!

And here is how the shadow frame looked after I had my Glimmer Hands on it

Here are the Supplies I used:
Tattered Angels: Glimmer Mist Fall 2010 Colors, Glimmer Glam Chandelier, Glimmer Screens, Tattered Trinket, Rockn’ Renaissance Costum Cut Outs, Tattered Traveler Clear Compact, Framed Fonts; SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™ Foam Pads and Crafty Power Tape, Clear Gesso, Pepples, Prism white Cardstock
If you want to know how I did this- you can see the tutorial video on the Tattered Angels Educator blog.

It remains my favorite to create my own backgrounds with teh wonderful Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and with those cool Tattered Textures Stamps – not to forget the fun Framed Fonts that makes awesome frames for the pocket pictures I used.
So I hope those projects and layouts showed you how versatile the Tattered Angels Products are!
Wishing you a gorgeous and happy crafty day!!!!

Mandy’s July Creations
Happy CHA everyone!
Mandy popping in from Australia to say Hello and share a couple of my newest creations.
Starting off with a card full of sunshine and smiles, misted with pretty Lemon Zest, Crushed Shells and SWAK and accented with a little Tuttu Pink Glam, a bright and cheerful combination.
Love layering mist colors across each other to see how they blend.
Lots of folks altered clocks a while back and that was fun but recently I saw a personalized clock in a fancy boutique with a very fancy price tag to match, thought hmmm, I have seen that lighthouse and very similar sandcastle and quickly ran home to whip one up.
Glimmer chips are perfect for altered clocks, they are slim enough to fit but with the addition of some bright colors can really make a statement. The only clock I could find had a black plastic frame that really did not look beachy enough. The frame got a rustic make over with a little plain acrylic paint and just before the paint set, misted spots with denim blue and dragged it though for a weathered look.
Altered books are a favorite of mine and a good excuse to play with new color combinations from the summer range starting with water slide and hula hoop on the background.
The tailored tag was misted with crushed shells and tutti fruitti with a touch of tutu pink glaze on the mistable die cut and finished with squirt of old lace.
Experimented with stamping using a dragon fly mist mat and hay ride glam to create a raised shadow that I stamped into. I added more textures using the hula hoop mist to color up texture paste streaked onto the bottom of the page with a little fan brush for grass.
Sharing new creations with you makes my day, feel free to ask questions or for more details.

Is it Spring Yet???
Hi, my name is Anabelle and I can’t wait until it is Spring! I live in Delaware and in case you haven’t heard, we here in the Northeast have had the snowiest winter EVER!! I’m ready to pack my bags and move to Florida. Really. Anyway, this month my projects reflect my sincere desire to put the weather of the last few months behind me and get to Spring as quickly as possible.
This first page celebrates the wonderful weather we had this past weekend. It was 50 degrees and the kids played outside all weekend! I created a page about the arrival of nicer weather. I love the Fancy Pants Frosted line! The colors are so gorgeous. But, as you can tell from my previous thoughts, I just couldn’t bring myself to do a winter page. So, I decided to show the versatility of this line and make a spring-y one.

Crepe paper flowers are all the rage right now. I decided to make mine from white crepe paper and colored them to match the page. I used Frost, Viva Pink and Flower Power Glimmer Mist. All I did was spray the crepe paper and then twisted it to make the flowers. I secured them with some hot glue.

The frames are spritzed with Bubbles and the rose with Sweet Clover and Red Velvet. I sprayed the Tailored Tag with Frost and used one of the alpha’s, from Heidi’s new set, in my title.

My next project has a similar theme.
I made this page using some of Webster’s Pages new summer line. I think it goes perfectly with the beach chipboard, stamps and glimmer glass.
I started out by spritzing the background with Carribean blue. I sprayed Crushed Shells onto the palm tree Glimmer Screen and cut it out. Then I stamped the palm tree stamp onto it.

I sprayed the chipboard with Sunshine and backed the Glimmer Glass with patterned paper.

My next project also uses some of the Fancy Pants Frosted line. Again, I wanted to use it for something other than a winter page. I made this card using a tag and cutouts from Heidi’s line. The banner stamp is from the Timeless Romance collection. I’ve used this little gem a bunch of times already!

I sprayed Peppermint Stick onto the tag. I love the resist look. The small crest chipboard was painted with Peach Belini Glimmer Glam.

I don’t enjoy making masculine cards, but I think these die cuts and chipboard pieces are perfect for guys!
Finally, I wanted to share one more project with you. I think it fits in perfectly with my ‘Goodbye Winter’ theme. I made this card for CHA using lots of goodies from the Beach line. I sprayed the palm tree onto the background and used the Glimmer Glass and chips. I sprayed the chips and coated them with glitter.

Well, that’s it for now. Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek! Have a great day.
~Anabelle
More Tattered Angels and Webster’s Pages Goodness
Hi Everyone! This is Susan and I’ve got quite a few Tattered Angels and Webster’s Pages projects to share with you today, using the new CHA releases of course!
First up, here’s a layout I created using the lovely new Timeless Romance collection and Webster’s Pages Sweet As Cherry Pie papers.

I misted directly onto the patterned paper, using the Timeless Romance heart glimmer screen with Rose Tea and Tutti Frutti. I then stamped the new postcard frame from the Timeless Romance clear stamps as a frame for my photo.

I’ve used the new Timeless Romance Calling Cards in the cluster to the right of the photo. I misted the entire card with Old Lace, then painted in the roses and leaves with Scarlet and Lime Twist.

The title alphas are from the new Postage Stamps Framed Fonts. I misted these with Iridiscent Gold to give them a glint of shimmer while retaining the original ivory shade, and outlined the alphas in Lime Twist.

Webster’s Pages papers are great for cutting out and here you can see the dimensionality I created with the lace and cut-outs.
Next up is this altered tag which I just completed yesterday and I love the shabby-chic feel of it. These Tailored Tags are new from Tattered Angels and their size is perfect for altering.

I misted the tag with Lemon Grass, Caribbean Blue, Burnt Red and Vintage Pink, then cut out the bird and leaves images from the very pretty Postcards from Paris paper.

I added a lace trim in ecru, a velvet green ribbon and a pleated brown satin ribbon to the tag, and set that off with a custom-coloured flower. I wanted the flower to match the tag perfectly, so I misted the originally-white flower in Moonlight.

To complete the tag, I added a Glimmer Glass dragonfly from the Nature collection as well as some lace trims and a pearl brad to the top of the tag.

I designed the tag with a pocket so you can slip in a little message or greeting into the pocket. Here, I’ve slipped in a Paper Tag from the new Rockin’ Renaissance collection.
The next few projects I created for CHA Winter. This next one is a shadow box I created using Webster’s Pages Postcards from Paris papers.

I misted the background cardstock in the new Hula Hoop and Water Slide shades, over a large grand-scale Glimmer Screen from the Garden Collection.

Here you can see the different layers I’ve created from the use of lace, cut-outs from the patterned paper and chipboard. The title “Winter Berry” sits on the new Postage Stamp Framed Font chipboard frame, which I misted with the new Dazzling Diamonds. I love this new mist. All the glimmer without the colour.
To complete the garden feel, I added in a glimmer glass bird and a glimmer glass flourish corner.

Here’s the project from another angle so you can see the shadow box effect.
A romantic card next, with flowers, sheer ribbons, lace and Magical Wishes paper from Webster’s Pages.

The lock and key are a Glimmer Chip and Glimmer Glass from the Regal collection. I misted the lock chip in Flower Power and Vintage Pink, allowing the raised embossed details to show through, which I then highlighted with some stickles.

I wanted the flower to stand out so opted to keep it in its original ivory shade, but liberally misted with Dazzling Diamonds and Iridescent Gold so the glimmer would catch the sunlight.
Finally, here’s an altered canvas I created using the new Seaside Collection and Graphic 45’s new On The Boardwalk papers.

Glimmer Mists work really well on canvas. I misted the canvas in Caribbean Blue and Sunshine over the new On The Beach Glimmer Screen.

And one of my favourite mists this season – Dazzling Diamonds on the Prima flower and Dazzling Diamonds and Bubbles on the Seaside glimmer chip shell.

I misted this chipboard heart with Candy Apple Red and crackle glazed it. The patterned paper’s from Graphic 45’s new On The Boardwalk collection. Love the vintage images.

This seahorse glimmer glass is part of the new Sea Glass collection. I also dabbed on some of the new Glimmer Glaze in Emerald Cove on the top left corner with a paint brush. I used the new Crushed Shells glimmer mist on the manila tag, misting over another new glimmer screen from the Under The Sea collection.

Jon the rest of the design team for all of February as we show you more of what we’ve created using the brand new Tattered Angels releases, as well as Webster’s Pages.
Have a great week!
Susan
