Mini album “Tradition”
The holidays are approaching and it’s time to prepare a mini album to tell about our Christmas preparations, and to insert the most important day-to-day pictures !
I used a wood medium from the French brand Pause Créative. I reworked it with acrylic paint and Glimmer Mist.
Start by covering your covers (back & front) with paint using a large paintbrush. I chose a neutral colour, grey so that it will be easier to introduce different colours of ink thereafter.
Once the paint is dry, add two colours of Glimmer Mist.
I opted for seasonal colours: black “Black Gold” and brown “Coffee Shop”.
Spray, mix the colours, add some water with a water spray and let the inks run.
Ink sprays add contrast and depth to my painted medium. The iridescent effect of the Glimmer Mist inks enhances the festive atmosphere that I wanted to give to my album.
Let it dry in the open.
Once your cover is dry, you can add a sticker, a lacy ribbon, blue twine thread and a title.
The word “tradition” is a wood accent that I embossed with glitter embossing powder Zing Copper.
The two pretty snowflakes that bring relief and are part of the album theme are two new dies from Sizzix that I totally love!
Easy to cut with the Big Shot, easy to fold, they’re the perfect accents for your cover!
Now all you’ll have to do is fill your album with your most beautiful December pictures! I hope I will keep the pace.
Have a nice day!
Karine
