Tattered Angels, The Whatevers and Analogous Colors

Hello my friends…today I would like to share with you a journal page I created for this incredible challenge called The Whatevers…Creative Story Telling. It is the brain child of Catherine-Matthews Scanlon, Nathalie Kalbach & Vickie Chrisman, all contributing members to Tattered Angels either as a designer or educator. I shared with you my 1st Challenge piece and today I’m going to share Challenge #3. You can also view other artists projects on Facebook.

First things first. I love working with color…it is where everything starts for me. When I was experiment with stencils  and Tattered Angels paint mediums I always keep manilla shipping tags hand and use them as Mop Tags so I don’t waste any of the precious glimmer.

When I started this page I chose to work with these 3 analogous colors Orange, Yellow & Green…3 colors that sit next to each other on the color wheel. I highly suggest this website for more info. on Color Theory.  Often you will see these color theories work out in the pattern paper you love. These papers are from the Seaside Retreat from Webster’s Pages. After I chose the paper I went rummaging through my mop tags and lo and behold I found exactly what I was looking for. Using Balzers Design Circle Explosion stencil from The Crafters Workshop I had used Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in Firefly, Valencia, Fairway and a hint of Calypso to create the stenciled pattern

If you would like to see the entire story you will find it here.

Thanks for stopping by . Make sure you stay tuned for the rest of the month as the Tattered Angels look into more color theory!
