Dressing it up with Complementary colors

Hi Every one!  Vicki here    Today I’m sharing a little re-do project I did using complementary colors.     I’m a freak for thrift store and Flea Markets finds.  Giving new life to something is so satisfying.   The other day I found this ” like new ” aqua purse for $4. whoo hoo. lol    No lining in it… and just plain..but in great shape

I went to work on this canvas flower from Canvas Corp, using  Candy Corn Glimmer Mist and Hopi Glaze

I finished embellishing, added some lace and the flower to the bag.

I liked look of the holes but thought it would also look great to be able to see orange thru them.    Orange fabric would be great.. but otherwise just misting this muslin I already had worked perfectly to make the lining.

I think it really gets you thinking out  of the box and gives your creativity a little kick when you find ways to use the things around you… giving them new life.
