I Love Ombre…

Hello. Hello. I think the title says it all! I LOVE ombre. So much so, that I’ve got the ombre hair thing going on here, too. I’m not much into color theory, but I LOVE color and I know what I like. I think for me, it’s more of a natural instinct type of thing. I can read up on color theory and then say to myself, “That’s why I love those colors together!”.

This month I’ve got a few ombre projects for you. Ombre is technically, having colors or tones that shade into each other. That’s what I love! Love the shading and the gradient coloration. LOVE it!!!

I used a small paintbrush, a little water and a few mists to create this ombre look on the library card.

I used 3 different mist colors.

Plain Jane Teal is the darkest color.

Chalkboard Mist in High Heel Teal is the mid color.

And, Chalkboard Mist in Splash is the lightest color.

I just used a wet paintbrush to get the nice blended look we all love in an ombre.
