Fall is in the air here in Wyoming, and the sunsets are amazing. Two of my favorite things are sunsets and Paris. I decided to blend the two in an Analogous Color Paris Card.
Analogous colors are colors next to each other on the color wheel; harmonious colors predominant in a painting such as blue/blue-violet, yellow/orange/red-orange etc. * …
I must say I loved creating this card. It went together so easily, when you have such gorgeous rich colors of Tattered Angels paints. They blend beautifully and all the mediums work so well together. I find myself just letting go and enjoying the creative process. At times it’s a spiritual experience.
I researched analogous colors and chose the color palette that spoke to me…the warm violet, red violet, red and orange red colors of fall sunsets. I used Juneberry Wine and Pop Rocks Glimmer Mist for the violet; Ruby Slipper Chalkboard Mist for the red violet; Lobster Glimmer Mist for the red; and blended in the Plain Jane Stained Glass Yellow for the orange red.
I die cut using Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Three and white with black script patterned paper by Bo Bunny. I misted my colors layering on both die cuts at the same time, to keep the color pattern similar. I painted the Stained Glass Yellow on with a paint brush. I allowed to dray and used my heat gun a bit. I layered the die cut panels.
I also stamped onto white card stock using QuietFire Designs Eiffel Tower and C’est la vie stamps from Francais set, then die cut and embossed around the stamped image.
I tied some black ribbon around the panel, added 2 stick pins and a bit of bling. This card is really quick and easy to create.
I hope you enjoyed the project and tutorial today!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
