This month I decided to draw inspiration from the Tattered Angels team. I wanted to step out of the box and try something new which meant challenging myself! For my first project, I used Anna Dabrowska-Pekocka’s layout for inspiration. I love Anna’s work and I love how she paints her embellishments in her projects! Notice how she paints her embellishments to make them look embedded into the layout?
I decided to alter a stained glass frame with buttons. Notice how the buttons look like they are embedded into the frame? I used LOTS of Glimmer Mist (Turquoise Blue, Gold, Pomegranate), Chalkboard Mist (Inchworm), Glimmer Glam (Chandelier, Mermaid) and Glimmer Glaze (Icicle). I really love how this turned out.
For my next project, I decided to draw inspiration from Emeline Seet’s altered wooden box. I forget how beautiful Tattered Angels products look on wood! Isn’t Emeline’s box lovely? Rather than alter a box, I decided to alter a wooden bangle bracelet!
I used LOTS of Glimmer Mist (Turquoise Blue, Gold, Pomegranate), Chalkboard Mist (Inchworm), Glimmer Glam (Chandelier, Mermaid) and Glimmer Glaze (Icicle).
And for my last layout, I decided to use Jamie Dougherty’s piece of art as inspiration.
Love the white and blues together. I also like how she stamped tiny hearts on her flower so I decided to stamp a newspaper print on my flower and then I sprayed my flower with Spanish Moss Mist. I sprinkled Slate Mist on the cardstock with tiny droplets of Pewter Glimmer Glaze.
And before I say good-bye, I just want to thank Nat and Wendy for having me on the team this past year… It has been a great experience and I really enjoyed ever moment of it!
