at least for this ‘angel’ and I can’t think of a better way to end our term than drawing inspiration from each other. For my first project this month I chose to lift a lovely layout from the fabulous Zoe – I just loved the soft color combo
They went perfectly with the pink in my niece’s Christmas dress…
I used Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist and Crafter’s Workshop Template for the wood grain background, I also used the same mist on the ribbon and chipboard heart.
I confess I failed lifting 101, I always start with a literal lift and it morphs into it’s own thing. These next two examples are perfect examples, I blame it on wanting(needing) to take advantage of every second during this busy season.
I decided to make a card and let me tell you – Holly Simoni is one of the best card makers around – I scrappy stalked her long before we joined this team together. Here’s Holly’s original ‘Today’s weather’ card
and my holiday version, I took inspiration from her resist paper background and embellishment placement.
I used the LED Red and Bubble Light Green Glimmer mists on the Pink Paislee paper, embossed and then went on a hunt outside for pine cones – this one still had a little of nature’s own glimmer glam on it.
Finally, I loved this shadow box from Mandy
I sent out to make a holiday version, but then all of the supplies from making tags were laying about my table and with the clock ticking I decided to go with a tag.
I misted a plain #8 tag with Bubble Light Green and then sprayed LED Red and Iridescent Gold on some Tim Holtz Holiday Kraft Paper. Like Mandy’s inspiration I used a frame from framed fonts (my final wish as I end my turn would be to bring these back – love them!) and backed with dictionary paper.
Thanks for supporting all of us on this year’s team, can’t wait to see what the next ladies do.
What wonderful creations!! TFS!
