Art Journals …

Good Morning!

I think you must have been inspired by the many art journals you’d seen in the past week. What does an art journal mean to you? To me, art journals are a great platform for self expression, experimenting and discovering and indeed it is. I can make mistakes, try different color combinations, try new techniques and most importantly learn what works for me. This journal is nothing fanciful. It is a simple sketch book with blank, white, sturdy pages.

Here are two pages taken off from my art journal.
1st page titled: Woman; have no fear. Is a random page i created intending to try out layering with more than 2 colors.

I made use a total of 6 glimmer mist colors, specifically: (Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist) Cotton Candy, Spring Violet, Inchworm, Mint Chocolate Chip, Walnut Gold,Teal High Heel. Such fun and interesting names!

My 2nd page, is another page created with several layers of color spritz. I am currently hopelessly addicted to masking and here, I made used of Tattered Angels stencils.

Glimmer Mist i used were: Cotton Candy, Bell Bottom Jean, Trunk Bay, Firefly, Meadow Green.
Not only are they layering of beautiful glimmer mist, I layered lots of pattern papers from Webster’s Pages.

Lastly, I made a wedding themed card with Tattered Angels Irresistable Paper Tags and some glimmer mist. I was inspired by pastel wedding colors and used (Glimmer mist) Spring Violet, Trunk Bay and Firefly.

Thank you for stopping by Tattered Angel’s blog today!
Have a crafty week.
